WHO WE AREFounded in 1954, Fischer Connectors designs, develops and deploys end-to-end interconnect solutions for ecosystems requiring local transfer and management of data, signals and power.Its tailored electronic solutions, connectors and cable assemblies are trusted globally for their reliability in demanding environments.Fischer Connectors is part of .With nearly 600 people worldwide, four R&D centers and six manufacturing sites, the Swiss-headquartered technology group offers high-performance connectivity solutions that manage power and data flows seamlessly from sensors and devices to the cloud, enabling the emergence of new and scalable ecosystems.Conextivity comprises two core business activities: Fischer Connectors and Wearin'.For our new Plant in Amarante, near Oporto, Portugal, we are looking for an R&D Electronics Engineer to support on product development, overseeing all aspects with end-to-end ownership through the design life-cycle from concept to production release, including architecture, design, implementation, testing, certification, and manufacturing.:  WHAT YOU WILL DO IN YOUR ROLE: Providing a high quality and proactive service to both internal and external customers.As an electronic design engineer, you will communicate and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to analyze the technical requirements, translate technical requirements to design requirements, and develop architecture of the proposed hardware solutions.Specify design concept and define electronic constraints in collaboration with the whole engineering team to take into account other technical field constraints in the electronic design to ensure proper operation of the final product.Design & development of complex layouts of rigid and flexible printed circuit boards (using CAE and CAD applications & tools).Develop of complex layouts following our project development process, being part of weekly meeting, preparing test plan for electronics solution for product & process validation, with a focus on production tools for testing.Plan and execute board bring-up, engineering validation testing, and design changes to resolve problems, to ensure final products conform to design requirements related to performance, reliability, and cost.Coordination of prototype production and evaluation of industrial production approach with internal and external partners, ensuring electronic hardware meets best-in-class standards and applicable regulations.THE EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS YOU WILL BRING Master's degree in Electronics Engineering or equivalentSuccessful experience of 5 years in the development of complex electronic hardware device architectureStrong background in Electronics industrial design, including digital and analog circuit design, PCB design (PCBs, Flex PCBs, wiring), including component selection, schematic, layout, and production of electronic assemblies.Experience in embedded systems: microcontroller programming and knowledge in firmware and software development is desirableExperience with radio frequency circuit design and signal processing and conditioning for low noise is desirableExperience in V & V of hardware, software, and embedded systems, including product certification testing (Electrical safety, EMC, RF).Experience in digital circuits and layout, including I2C, SPI, RS485, Ethernet, POE, WiFi is a plusProficiency with PCB design tools (preferably Altium Designer) and simulation tools g SPICEProficient with design of microprocessor, IoT, Connectivity modules (LTE), Video compression/encoding.Effective communication and interpersonal skillsExcellent problem solving, analytical, and decision-making skillsDriven, self-starter with excellent planning and organizational skills and a strong attention to detailExcellent verbal and written communication skills (English, French is a plus
