To join our team in August 2025, we are looking for a well-qualified and talented teacher of English.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Inspire and Motivate Students: Build trust and confidence in students, engaging them in meaningful and motivational learning experiences.Curriculum Expertise: Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of the GCSE, A-Level, or IBDP curricula, ensuring students meet academic targets.Student-Centered Planning: Develop effective lesson plans that cater to individual learning needs and promote a positive classroom environment.Utilize Assessments for Learning: Use formative and summative assessments to track, monitor, and enhance student progress, ensuring they stay on target.Classroom Management: Maintain high standards of behaviour and discipline, ensuring a safe and productive learning environment.Engage in School Development: Contribute to school improvement and development planning, aligning teaching with the school's educational goals.Pastoral Care: Promote the well-being of individual students and tutor groups, addressing academic or personal challenges through collaboration with staff and parents.Extra-Curricular Contributions: Participate in trips and extra-curricular activities that enrich students' educational experiences.Collaborate with Colleagues: Work as part of a team, contributing positively to school morale, staff collaboration, and cross-departmental initiatives.Ongoing Professional Development: Engage in continuous professional learning to stay current with best teaching practices and enhance the quality of education.THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:A relevant degree in the subject area and a valid teaching qualification (such as PGCE, QTS, or equivalent).Proven experience teaching at the secondary level, with expertise in GCSE, A-Level, or IBDP curricula.Strong ability to engage and motivate students, fostering a positive and stimulating learning environment.Excellent classroom management skills, ensuring high standards of behaviour and a purposeful learning atmosphere.Proficiency in utilizing technology and modern teaching methods to enhance learning opportunities.Exceptional communication skills, capable of building strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students and support individual learning pathways.Commitment to continuous professional development and staying updated with current educational practices and trends.Experience in contributing to school improvement and development planning.A strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.SAFEGUARDING STATEMENTInspired Education Group is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff, volunteers and other third parties to share this commitment.
