Position Description:
The Sales Representative role in Pet Health will create demand and secure sales by delivering and demonstrating the value of Elanco Animal Health products to customers and the people who influence their product use decisions. Sales territory contacts consist of Veterinarians, vet Clinics, Petshops, and Pharmacy Channel.
Will be responsible for a defined territory in Portugal as a Sales Representative and all country as a Pet health technical consultant more focused on OTC products.
The Technical Consultant has the function to provide technical support and information service to the Portuguese Pet Health market in order to assist the achievement of sales objectives in compliance with corporate, legal, and ethical guidelines.
It's a key position to deliver value to the customer: he/she has the ability to understand medical terminology and technical knowledge of the day-to-day operations within a veterinary practice environment; provides technical input in case of requests or complaints related to the Elanco products or disease areas.
With technical leadership, the Technical Consultant is the external and internal technical advocate of our product brands as well as the company brand: he/she supports the marketing strategy and positioning of products through technical inputs, creative thinking, playing a key role in the sales team technical training. The Technical Consultant is responsible for technical accuracy of promotional materials.

Lisbon and Setubal district.
Functions, Duties, Tasks:
Drive Pet Health portfolio growth.
Manage key customer accounts in expansion markets.
Lead business development Pet health Accounts.
Ensure Sell out plans in Pet Health Accounts and sell in at distributor level.
Implement all the marketing activities on the field.
Monitor, evaluate and act on sales deviations on product or partner level, and develop corrective actions.
Cultivate long-term relationships with customers, distributors, and key influencers to promote the Elanco brand and business goals.
Drive Elanco customer value selling skills programs in Pet Health.
Monitor and track business results, adapt approach and strategies as appropriate. Feedback into marketing and other functions for input and support.
Identify and assess customer needs. Uncover customers' solvable problems and opportunities. Incorporate the Elanco product portfolio as part of the solution.
Represent the "voice of the customer" to Elanco management and marketing.
Ensure the collection of correct data to monitor sell in, sell out and stock in trade.
Accountable for the attainment of sales objectives with targeted accounts.
Cultivate customer relationship in order to increase our customer experience through products, people and projects.
Meet/Exceed sales targets through driving the sales of the defined product range within the area.
Transfer key messages and scientific information about Elanco products to Veterinarians and key influencers within the designated sales territory.
Call on and generate demand with Veterinarians and key influencers manage all sell out in the defined territory.
Implement and execute any and all marketing programs and initiatives.
Manage all the sell out of the territory.
Give Technical presentations to customers and at national or international scientific meetings.
Monitor, answer and report adverse drug events.
Monitor most relevant publications, identifying product related items (including Adverse Events and Complaints) or items of general interest, comment and distribute.
Routinely conduct scientific literature review.
Minimum Qualification:
Veterinary degree.
At least 3 years of expertise in vet clinics and sales.
English and Spanish upper intermediate level (spoken & written).
Required Skills:

Passion for the animal health industry.
Strong knowledge and understanding of the reference veterinary sector and Pet health market.
