The Associate Toxicologist will support the Preclinical Safety & DMPK team in assessing the safety and toxicological profiles of drug candidates. This role involves planning, oversight and interpretation of preclinical safety studies, preparing summaries and reports, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful progression of compounds through the drug development pipeline.
The Impact You'll Make Assist in planning, designing and monitoring in vitro and in vivo safety pharmacology and toxicology studies to evaluate the safety of new chemical entities/drug candidates;Monitor study progress ensuring compliance with applicable guidelines and protocols and accurate presentation of data;Analyse data and interpret results to assess potential safety risks complying with the assigned timelines;Prepare detailed reports and summaries of findings liaising with key experts;Collaborate in Project Teams and contribute to strategic discussions on compound progression;Actively integrate a multidisciplinary team, with DMPK scientists and pharmacometricians, and collaborate effectively with other organizational departments/teams, to support overall company objectives;Assist in preparing documentation for regulatory submissions;Comply with the Policies, Standards and Procedures in place;Collaborate effectively with other departments, teams and colleagues as required, to support overall company objectives.What You'll Bring PhD in Toxicology, Pharmacology, or a related field;Experience in safety pharmacology and toxicology studies within the pharmaceutical or contract research organization settings (preferred);Knowledge of safety regulatory guidelines and GLP guidelines;Strong analytical skills;Strong organizational skills and attention to detail;Excellent English knowledge, both oral and written.
This is a temporary position to cover a long-term sick leave.
