Congress Manager
The European Society of Regional Anaesthesia and Pain Therapy (ESRA), a non-profit international scientific society based in Switzerland with 8,000 members around the world, is currently looking for a dynamic, committed, and self-motivated Congress Manager to join its team and take care of the tasks mentioned below.
The objectives of ESRA include the study, promotion, education, and training of techniques for local and regional anaesthesia and acute or chronic pain management and encouraging scientific research and the dissemination of information. ESRA organises congresses, publishes scientific works, and encourages research regarding this medical discipline. Its annual congress is taking place once a year at the beginning of September in a different European country each year.
This position is remote and can be based in any location in Europe.
Tasks:

Liaison with the Professional Congress Organiser (PCO), serving as the main contact between the society and the PCO.
Preparation of comparison reports for future congress destinations.
Contract negotiations for the congress when needed (venue, faculty hotels, social events venues, etc.).
Contacting the faculty when needed.
Supporting the Scientific Chair and Committee for the preparation and revision of the scientific program.
Additional tasks related to the annual congress.

In addition to the annual congress, the Congress Manager is responsible for the e-congress and World Day and World Week of Regional Anaesthesia and Pain Medicine (WDRAPM & WWRAPM), which includes the following tasks:

Contact with the respective committees.
Answering participants' queries.
Venue search and contract negotiation when needed.
Responsible for the faculty hotel and catering if needed.
Contact with local organisers.
Support for the Chair of the activity for the preparation of the scientific program.
Communication with the faculty.
CME management if applicable.
Creation of the budget for the events.
Onsite support when needed.
Any other tasks related to the e-congress and WDRAPM, WWRAPM.

Qualifications and Experience Levels:

University degree in Events Management, Business Administration, or similar education.
Previous experience in a similar role.
If possible, working experience in a PCO.
Strong communication skills in English are required (written and oral). Any other languages are an asset.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
