Construction Project Manager

We are seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager for our construction company. The successful candidate will be responsible for the management of construction and renovation works on multiple sites. The projects are exclusive, bespoke high-quality and design-led projects.The construction business is part of a group of companies with activities in real estate, hospitality and services, backed by two successful serial entrepreneurs from Germany and the UK who've been living in Portugal for the last 5 years.The successful candidate must have the knowledge, experience, and confidence to engage and professionally interact with the client, architects, interior designer, construction team and subcontracted suppliers and manage the projects including planning, coordinating and overseeing the execution of the works in accordance with schedule and budget.As a successful candidate you will join an ambitious and fast-growing company with the opportunity to grow alongside the company. You will report to and work closely with the two founders.Responsibilities:Management, planning, monitoring and supervision of construction projectsEnsure compliance with defined deadlines and budgetsLaunch tenders, negotiate and select the best suppliers for each phase of the projectsManage relationships with suppliers, purchase and delivery of materialsEnsure timely submission, issuance and validity of all city council licensesDefine milestones and timeline of the projectDraft project budgetFoster the development and implementation of best practice proceduresPromote productivity and profitability through the use of production ratiosDesign efficient technical solutions that respond to customer needs, calculated and dimensioned in accordance with applicable regulationsAnalyse and report technical and economic performance of the developmentIdentify potential roadblocks and design action plansLiaise between design, engineering and construction teams during each project phase, to identify optimisations and drive harmony and efficiency of deliveryThe profileMaster's degree or Degree in Civil Engineering or Architecture4 - 10 years of proven experience in residential construction project management in PortugalProactive attitudeProblem solving skills, solution oriented and ability to work under pressureAttention to detailAbility to multitask, set priorities and manage time in different contextsGood interpersonal skills and communication skills (fluent in Portuguese and fluent in English)Ability to work in a team with a positive and committed approachAmbition to be part of a leading company in our market nicheWe can offer you:Competitive salaryRegular supervision and excellent supportFlexible and dynamic working environmentCareer development, with a range of opportunities including career progression and excellent professional developmentOpportunity to work with renowned architects and designers on exciting signature projectsGenerous discounts on hotel rooms in our sister company (depending on availability)This role comes with a high potential of vertical growth in a role with high exposure and part of a group of companies that is growing rapidly.#J-18808-Ljbffr
