Lisboa, Lisboa, Portugal Arkadium Tempo inteiro

At Arkadium our purpose is to have fun while creating fun - and that's exactly what we've been doing for 20 years. We're the creators behind the world's most-played games. From the Solitaire that came on your Windows machine, to hundreds of other games you've come to know and love - you can find our games on Arkadium.com, iOS, Android, and lots of other big sites worldwide.
As a proud Evergreen business our values of Fierce Drive, Positive Energy and Living Full Lives are the driving force behind how we run and the choices we make.
We're privately held (aka stable and reasonable about growth), founder-led (aka passionate about our craft) and we consistently rank as a "Best Place to Work" (aka not your typical games company).
Interested in becoming an Arkadian? We'd love to hear from you
Overview:  We are seeking a Manager, Strategic & Technical Programs, who can drive critical engineering and business initiatives while leading a small but impactful team. This role requires a blend of technical program management and strategic execution, ensuring that both engineering-driven projects and high-priority company initiatives move forward with speed and efficiency.
If you are an execution-focused leader who thrives in high-velocity environments, can juggle multiple priorities, and is equally comfortable working with engineers and executive leadership, this is your opportunity to make a major impact.
As the manager of a small team (1 direct report), you'll be responsible for not only driving key programs but also mentoring and guiding your team members to maximize efficiency and effectiveness.
What You'll Do:
Drive Strategic Execution Across the Organization
Act as a force multiplier for the COO, ensuring cross-functional strategic initiatives are executed efficiently.  Work closely with business, product, and engineering teams to align priorities and remove blockers.  Manage and track company OKRs, ensuring alignment with business objectives.  Participate in executive meetings, distilling strategic priorities into actionable execution plans.  Lead Technical Program Management for Engineering
Partner with engineering leadership to optimize software development processes, delivery velocity, and operational efficiency.  Establish and track key engineering and operational metrics, ensuring continuous improvement.  Identify bottlenecks in engineering workflows and implement process optimizations to enhance speed and quality.  Work with product and engineering teams to streamline cross-team coordination and execution.  Oversee High-Impact, Cross-Functional Projects
Lead and manage complex, multi-stakeholder projects that span engineering, product, and business functions.  Ensure smooth coordination between technical execution and business strategy.  Facilitate communication and alignment between engineering, product, marketing, and business teams.  Manage and mentor your direct report, providing guidance and support in project execution.  Proven experience as a Technical Program Manager, Strategic Program Manager, or similar role in a high-growth, fast-moving environment.  Strong technical acumen – You have experience working with engineering teams and understand software development lifecycles, Agile methodologies, and DevOps principles.  Strategic mindset with execution focus – You can translate big-picture vision into tactical action plans and drive them to completion.  Hands-on leadership experience – You've led teams or mentored individuals in program or project management functions.  Deep familiarity with OKRs – You've successfully implemented, tracked, and optimized objectives at a company or department level.  Cross-functional leadership – You know how to influence and align stakeholders across product, engineering, business, and operations.  Excellent problem-solving skills – You thrive in ambiguous environments, structure complex challenges, and execute effectively.  Passionate and high-energy personality – You bring urgency, commitment, and a drive for impact.  Web-based gaming and/or digital marketing industry experience.  Why Join Arkadium? High-Impact Role – Work at the intersection of strategy, execution, and technology, influencing the company's trajectory.  Fast-Paced, High-Growth Environment – No two days are the same. You'll be challenged, stretched, and given autonomy to make an impact.  Leadership & Growth Opportunity – Manage a small but high-impact team and take ownership of critical company initiatives.  Collaborative, Agile Culture – We move fast, work hard, and have fun while doing it.  Shape the Future – Be part of a company that is redefining browser gaming and driving innovation in the space.  Benefits Competitive compensation with structured performance and career development check-ins. Meaningful health insurance. Meal allowance. Personal development budget to fuel your passions and desire to learn (Arkadians are taking classes in not only Excel and leadership, but also interior design and even swimming) Additional budget for conferences you are interested in. Professional Coaching Budget . Time off from Christmas Eve through New Year's Day so we can all enjoy the holidays. Summer Fridays: 4 Fridays off throughout the Summer to have more fun in the sun. A unique culture of transparency, true teamwork and fun. This role is open to candidates based in Portugal. Business hours are 9-18 WEST (UTC+1). For candidates based in the Lisbon area, this role will transition to a hybrid model, requiring in-person presence.
