**Admission Requirements**:

- MSc with a minimum of 17 values in the scientific areas described;
- Experience in the extraction of natural compounds of plants and other food matrices;
- Experience in analytical methodologies including liquid and gas chromatography (HPLC, GC);
- Experience in fast screening methodologies (FTIR, Raman and Fluorescence spectroscopy);
- Experience in bioactivity (in vitro assays of antioxidant, anti-proliferative and antihypertensive activities);
- Good organizational and communication skills and ability to work as part of a team;
- Proficient use of the English language.

**Work plan**:
1) Characterize quantitatively (total protein content) and qualitatively (protein identification, amino acid composition and in vitro protein digestibility) in alternative protein sources (microalgae) using routine analytical methods;
2) Study the bioactivity (in vitro antioxidant, antiproliferative and antihypertensive) activity of protein extracts using in vitro assays; 3) Analyse the samples using FTIR-ATR, Raman, Fluorescence spectroscopy and NMR.

**Fellowship Duration**:
The fellowship will have a duration of 12 months, eventually renewed until the end of project, without prejudice of the maximum limits foreseen by law. The expected starting date is 1 of September of 2023.

**Selection criteria**:

- Academic training with a minimum of 17 values - 40%;
- Curriculum Assessment (CV) according to the admission requirements - 60%

Thus, the final evaluation will consist of 90% curriculum evaluation and 10% interview evaluation.
Applicants who do not meet the above admission requirements will not be eligible.

Applications will be accepted from **7 of July of 2023 until 21 of July of 2023**.
