- Guyana Remote Support Manager will supervise GY’s area technical discipline Leads, reporting to the Integrity Manager (based in Guyana). Based in SBM’s Porto Office, this position is part of the remote, and fully dedicated, Guyana’s Support Team established in Porto, Portugal, heading +20 technical positions.**MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- To manage and ensure competence of all technical personnel assigned to the Technical Guyana Support Team located in Porto/Portugal and to provide direction on all technical matters to remote team as per the priority aligned with Integrity Manager in Guyana;
- Support Guyana Local Team as required to ensure that the Process Safety Barrier Management system is in place and that assurance tasks and mitigation activities are carried out in a timely manner for the units in the Area/Region;
- Support Guyana Local Team as required to ensure the continuous operational improvement and business performance of the Guyana fleet through efficient execution of MOC and planned and unplanned maintenance and inspection activities;
- Support Guyana Local Team as required to compliance in the Guyana fleet with the relevant corporate strategies, management system, class and regulatory bodies and continuous improvement through feedback of lessons learned to HQ;
- Provide direction and support to Porto Technical Leads dedicated to Guyana and engineers assigned to the units and escalate to Asset Manager/HQ if and when required;
- Support Guyana Local Team as required to monitor and assess performance and progress of key activities in the Guyana Fleet and provide input at monthly basis to Integrity Manager to prepare and present MAR report;
- Develop strong link with Integrity Manager, Unit Managers and Area Manager to ensure alignment on priorities, planning and budgets;
- Support Guyana Local Team as required to ensure that all Risk Assessments and mitigations related to Deviations, Changes and Hot work are reviewed and approved by the discipline expert;
- Performs related regular visits in Guyana Shore Base (and offshore) when required to for familiarization with Local Guyana and Offshore team, but also to Support to verify effective implementation of the main items managed by Porto Remote Support Team linked to PSM system and suggest corrective actions where necessary;
- When required, provides liaison on all relevant technical discipline matters with Classification Societies and subcontractors, as necessary, to maintain conditions of Class;
- When needed, Support Supply Chain Activities in the Area/Region with assessing Vendor Performance, Competence and Service Agreements and ensuring relevant technical inputs and inspection to specific repair/replace projects preparation and execution;
- Assists Guyana Integrity Manager in the development and control of the Maintenance & Inspection budget for all units in the Area/Region ensuring that all technical disciplines provide clear scopes and follow up the execution once approved;
- Support Review Tier 2 Incidents, assign actions, ensure RCA studies are carried out and lessons recorded and implemented.
**JOB REQUIREMENTS**
- Minimum of 15 years’ experience in the oil industry, 5 of which must have been at a senior level;
- Minimum of 5 years with suitable technical experience and knowledge of FPSO/FSO unit operations;
- To hold a relevant engineering degree, relating with position’s responsibilities and tasks.
