As a Cloud FinOps Analyst, your primary responsibility will be to optimize and manage the financial aspects of the cloud infrastructure for the organization. You will work closely with the finance, IT, and development teams to analyze and control the usage of cloud services on AWS (Amazon Web Services) and GCP (Google Cloud Platform). Your expertise in cloud cost analysis and optimization will play a crucial role in ensuring cost-effectiveness while maintaining high-performance cloud environments.

**Requirements**:

- Experience: Previous experience in a cloud cost management or FinOps role, with hands-on experience in managing AWS and GCP environments.
- Cloud Expertise: Proficiency in understanding AWS and GCP services, pricing models, and billing mechanisms.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to interpret cloud usage data and identify optimization opportunities.
- Financial Acumen: Solid understanding of financial concepts, budgeting, forecasting, and cost allocation.
- Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and present complex data in a clear and concise manner.
- Cloud Tools: Familiarity with cloud cost management tools, such as AWS Cost Explorer, GCP Billing, and third-party FinOps solutions.
- Scripting and Automation: Basic scripting knowledge (e.g., Python, bash) to automate cost analysis tasks is a plus.

**Responsibilities**:

- Cloud Cost Analysis: Monitor and analyze cloud usage and spending patterns on AWS and GCP to identify cost drivers, potential cost-saving opportunities, and areas of resource inefficiency.
- Cost Optimization: Develop and implement cost optimization strategies to reduce cloud spending without compromising performance and security. This may involve rightsizing instances, leveraging reserved instances, and utilizing spot instances when appropriate.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Collaborate with finance and business stakeholders to set cloud budgets and provide regular financial forecasts based on usage trends and projected growth.
- Usage Analytics: Generate and maintain detailed reports and dashboards to provide insights into cloud usage, costs, and trends. Present these findings to stakeholders to support decision-making processes.
- Cost Allocation: Allocate cloud costs to different departments and projects accurately, ensuring transparent cost allocation and accountability.
- Cloud Billing Management: Monitor cloud billing statements, identify discrepancies, and work with cloud providers to resolve billing issues.
- Vendor Negotiation: Collaborate with cloud service providers to negotiate pricing, discounts, and contracts to achieve optimal cost benefits.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in cloud services and FinOps practices, and continuously identify opportunities for process improvement.
