Due to further expansion, we are seeking a Head of SRE to join us on a permanent basis and help us to continue to dominate one of the most buoyant, fastest-growing industries, that is changing the world and the speed at which we receive items.

LineTen is on a mission to crack the code on urban delivery. By leading with our values and putting carrier partners first, we are paving the way for better delivery experiences. LineTen is a new approach to delivery with a free carrier API and an operations management platform for shippers. We're building the first global data-driven last-mile network that has the potential to solve industry-wide problems.

**The position of SRE**

A talented Head of Site Reliability Engineer is needed at the UK's fastest growing elogistics provider. Shipping high-quality products at maximum speed with total visibility is what we do at LineTen. We need a confident experienced SRE to drive through our next generation of cloud products and manage a team of two. Hitting the ground running is essential, after a quick run through our typical product suite, tech stack and cloud setup you’ll immediately start work getting it in shape. **Responsibilities**
- Responsible for ensuring all engineering teams have a first class development experience via Tooling, Scripts and support
- Drives roll out of Docker across all engineering workstations regardless of o/s
- Works with the SRE team and other Architects to ensure that delta between workstation and cloud is minimised and, where this is not possible, workarounds and solutions exist
- Responsible for ensuring Container Registry is available, accessible and well-maintained for local development and cloud builds
- Responsible for driving adoption of Docker across engineering teams
- Responsible for ensuring unit tests can be run locally with mínimal effort
- Is the “go-to” person within the business on all things Docker/Containers
- Responsible for ensuring knowledge base and setup guides are in place, active and maintained

**Duties**
- Provides engineering support across all products
- Works with Architecture team to gain an understanding of likely direction of product development
- Provides training, support, and resources for engineering teams
- Provides engineering team with details of any code changes required to support other cloud-based PaaS products
- Provides support to IT manager for device procurement for engineering teams
- Provides QA teams with additional tooling/support as may be required
- Supports engineering team with workstation set up issues
- Participates in product scrums as required
- Works with the engineering team on code reviews
- Ensure Vendor dependencies are recorded/scoped
- Problem solver
- Fixing support escalation issues
- Building software / scripts to automate and in general help engineering, operations and support teams perform their duties.
- Participate in post-incident reviews
- Improve the on-call process; reduce team burden while improving issue response times
- Lead knowledge transfer sessions - for the wider team to self serve
- Capture and analyse metrics (SLI, SLO, SLA)
- Create monitoring to improve availability and detect anomalies
