**About the role**:
As a Team Lead in the Technology group at Zyte, you will be responsible for positioning Product QA to play a pivotal role in moving us to the next level of high-quality software products. Driving rapid feedback cycles and our CI/CD objectives along with better planning, tooling, test data, and frameworks to empower development teams is central to this role. You will thrive in the role if you enjoy leading QA teams where team members are deeply embedded in product teams (matrix style) and pushing the state of the art around product quality is in your DNA.

To succeed as a Team Lead, you will be expected to be highly collaborative with other Technology leaders within Zyte, create synergies when designing new frameworks, tooling and test data, be a creative technologist, be responsible for ensuring quality deliveries, and proactively identify opportunities for improving the way we drive QA across Technology, so that our customers get a world-class experience.

**Responsibilities**:

- As a leader
- Build and manage a team of skilled and motivated QA engineers / software engineers in test.
- Mentoring junior and mid level QA engineers.
- Lead with a strong sense for test automation and quality.
- Delegate effectively testing duties among team; mentor and evaluate performance continuously.
- As a visionary
- Be a key visionary shaping how end-to-end Product Quality will best work across Technology at Zyte.
- Create and shape brand new end-to-end QA processes for Zyte SaaS products.
- Lead our thinking around testing and ensuring quality of our Zyte Data products
- Drive QA across our advanced data science / AI capabilities
- Continuously innovate in the QA space, in terms of automation, delivery and tooling leveraged to do the best QA work.
- Stay ahead of the curve to proactively introduce improvements to the existing QA processes.
- Lead and expand the idea of quality beyond just the QA team and across our engineering and wider Zytan community
- As a partner
- Take ownership, in partnership with the Heads of Development, of the defect backlog for Zyte SaaS and Data products and represent QA as an important stakeholder for gate-keeping product releases.
- Be the primary front for risk assessment across Technology, creating plans to mitigate risks when quality regression is detected within the organization.
- Engage early and often with Technology and Product stakeholders to ensure testable requirements.
- Estimate and plan test efforts; produce requirements traceability matrices and high-level test plans.
- Define clear, unambiguous acceptance/release criteria that dovetail with your test plans.
- Take ownership of release management, firmly establishing QA as the gatekeepers of quality releases.
- Collaborate with other Product or Technology leaders to identify opportunities to create best in class frameworks and tools to power all QA efforts.
- Support a customer-centric work environment where product quality is never compromised.

**Requirements**:

- 5+ years of relevant experience as QA Lead or Test Lead, ideally of SaaS offerings.
- Strong relationship building skills with a sense of collaboration and experience managing QA in a matrix environment.
- Demonstrable experience testing HTTP APIs, web front ends, data products, and backend integrations.
- Demonstrable test automation experience, preferably with Python.
- Experience with modern CI/CD technologies such as Jenkins, Drone, CircleCI, BitBucket Pipelines, or similar.
- Solid grasp of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
- Good understanding of web frontend technologies.
- Experience with performance testing
- Experience with data analysis and reporting tools (Kibana, Grafana, Google Data Studio).
- Eager to learn in a fast-paced Agile environment.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Strong team player, independent, out-of-the-box thinker, self-learner with good analytical and technical writing skills.
- Strong problem solving skills and leadership skills to take ownership and drive a problem to resolution.
- Ability to multi-task and manage multiple priorities and commitments.
