**Actuarial Consulting Junior Analyst for Ireland**

Do you have strong analytical and project management skills? Are you proactive and keen to build strong working relationships with colleagues and clients? Do you have interest in Actuarial, Investment and Pension Scheme world?

**Mission**:
As a consulting analyst, you will work as part of a team supporting consultants in all aspects of pensions consulting, investment and actuarial work on both corporate and trustee clients.

You will work directly with Ireland-based consultants and support teams in Portugal and Ireland to coordinate and manage the delivery of services to our clients.

**We will rely on you to**:

- Support your client team on project management, day-to-day client contact, problem resolution and draft correspondence to clients on a range of consulting issues.
- Undertake actuarial modelling, spreadsheet modelling and calculations, including valuations, individual calculations, regular updates, actuarial factors and accounting work.
- Liaise with other Mercer business areas to deliver a streamlined service to clients.
- Be involved in ad-hoc project work as required, for example, risk management exercises, redundancy projects, etc.
- Supporting in the preparation of Trustee meetings packs;
- Support the business in some non-billable task such as billing process, general analysis, etc.

**What you need to have**:

- Bachelors or Master’s in Actuarial, Mathematics, Economics, Management, Finance or similar.
- Desired professional or academic background in Actuarial science and/or in consulting;
- Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
- Attention to detail is critical and strong problem solving skills & ability to clearly articulate complex issues.
- Excellent planning and organisational skills in order to prioritise and effectively manage a wide variety of ongoing tasks, in order to meet the multiple deadlines.
- Ability to build strong working relationships with colleagues and clients. Comfortable dealing with clients contacts.

- Advance Microsoft Office skills (in particular a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint).
- Sometimes, adherence to tight deadlines will be important.
