Global Quality Systems Manager

The Manager Global Quality Systems will cast a compelling vision for global quality management systems. He/she will develop and drive comprehensive global quality management systems strategy meeting customer expectations and requirements as well as coordinate, support and guide all locations’ quality management system. This person will drive flawless execution of initiatives of global quality management systems through careful planning, clear communication, and continual coaching. This person will also drive effective core tools of global quality management systems, and standard processes throughout ETTS to meet or exceed all targets for customer quality and satisfaction.

The Manager Global Quality Systems will cast a compelling vision for global quality management systems. He/she will develop and drive comprehensive global quality management systems strategy meeting customer expectations and requirements as well as coordinate, support and guide all locations’ quality management system. This person will drive flawless execution of initiatives of global quality management systems through careful planning, clear communication, and continual coaching. This person will also drive effective core tools of global quality management systems, and standard processes throughout ETTS to meet or exceed all targets for customer quality and satisfaction.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead / facilitate review, revision, and release of global quality manual, processes, procedures, work instructions, and forms
- Manage global quality systems document control related activities
- Ensure QMS aligns with all relevant customer specific requirements and ensure they are correctly cascaded through the BU
- Ensure QMS adheres to appropriate standards (IATF16949, ISO14001 and BorgWarner Quality System)
- Monitor future quality requirements and ensure timely implementation
- Maintain alignment with global team of external audit body and the supported manufacturing facilities
- Lead / coordinate on IATF audits of PTC HQ and Kibo HQ
- Leverage lessons learned, globally, on IATF audit findings and audit corrective actions
- Monitor performance trends and gaps in IATF requirements by plant, region, and globally
- Coordinate and align with global team of external audit body in regards to global IATF 16949 audits certificate scheme
- Global site administrator for IATF16949 related SharePoint (ICE) site
- Lead any registrar contract terms and conditions, with corporate purchasing
- Conduct gap analyses to QMS and continuous improvement in QMS processes in close collaboration with internal and external partners
- Drives, and tracks, progress of each QMS core tool globally
- Consult, train and coach plants’ quality management system representatives
- Create interfaces of IATF to ASPICE, FuSa & Cybersecurity requirements and TISAX
- Approximately 30% global travel required
JOB REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in global quality systems leadership roles
- Proficient knowledge of quality and environmental management systems
- Experience with IATF16949 and DIN ISO 14001 standards
- Profound skills in extensive process mapping as well as in value stream mapping
- Strong working competency with automotive industry core tools: AIAG and VDA Core Tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA)
- Minimum 5 years automotive experience
Education, Skills, Knowledge Requirements:
- Possess an undergraduate degree in engineering, industrial management, business or a related field; graduate degree is an asset
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in quality standards (ISO/IATF16949, VDA standards, QS9000)
- Verifiable trainings in quality management
- Experience in quality management and knowledge of automotive quality requirements
- High skills in core QM tools (FMEA, SPC, APQP, QFD, )
- Good computer skills in standard software (MS Office, SAP)
- Technical understanding on various products
