**JOB DESCRIPTION**
As a Purchasing Trainee you will experience Continental’s vast Purchasing organization by taking over challenging tasks and projects in different purchasing areas.
Your journey at Continental will start with a 2-years trainee program that gives you the possibility to gain broaden insights about a variety of purchasing roles, take ownership for complex business cases and build up an international network.
- We provide you with the best possible training in our global Purchasing organization to be prepared for a challenging Purchasing role in your hiring location after the program.
- You will learn about our company organization, policies and guidelines, our purchasing Portfolio, tools, strategy development, market intelligence, negotiation and contracting.
- For six months each, you will enhance your Purchasing skills by working in your hiring location, in one of our Corporate Purchasing departments in Germany and in one of our plants worldwide.
**QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE**
- Bachelor or Master degree in Management or Engineering;
- First practical experience in multinational companies through studies, internships or first job;
- Ability to work analytically and independently as well as to think strategically;
- High quality orientation in delivering results;
- Strong interpersonal and (English) communication skills, a committed team player passionate to work in a multicultural environment;
- Eagerness to develop and take the initiative;
- Available for onboarding on September 1;
- Willingness to be mobile during and after the program;
- Availability for worldwide travel, for periods of 6 months through the different rotations.
