Chief Operating Officer

In light of the rapid international growth of itsbusiness, Mindelo-Groupis currently looking to recruit a Chief OperatingOfficer.
The Chief Operating Officer will report directly into the 2 owners of the company and will assist in determining and implementing the strategy to achieve the ambitious objectives.
Mindelo-Groupis looking for an intelligent customer oriented COO who likes to work in a smaller, rapidly growing and ambitious environment with an entrepreneurial culture.

**Your key responsibilities**
- Partnering with the Executive Team on all operational and strategic issues as they arise; providing strategic recommendations to the team in terms of organizational vision, and operational strategies;
- Sponsoring, evaluating and implementing various projects across the business to increase the operational efficiency and the sustainability of the organization;
- Ensuring the highest standards in terms of Quality and Sustainability are met and/or maintained;
- Managing a team of 30+ people involved in modelling, planning, cutting, dress making; quality management deliveries and logistics;
- Ensuring the further development of the team and the organization that will ensure best quality, at optimal cost, with no compromise on sustainability ;
- Managing a network of external suppliers to which part of the production is being outsourced;
- Being accountable for the timely delivery of end-products produced both internally and by external suppliers;
- Ensuring close collaboration with Finance and Sales to secure business profitability and customer satisfaction;
- Manage reports & budgets.

**To qualify for the role you must have**
- Master’s degree in Economics or Business Engineering;
- Min. 8 years of relevant experience in operational roles or consulting services ;
- Qualifications in a relevant discipline such as Project Management, Supply Chain management, Lean Six Sigma tool and techniques, têxtile manufacturing or related fields are a plus;
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, in Portuguese and English. Notions of French is a plus.

Mindelo-Group was founded late 2020 by 2 Belgian partners having 10 years of experience in the fashion industry. Our atelier makes clothes both for fashion and corporate clients who are sensible to European production and sustainability issues.

We tend to build the most modern and efficient factory, based on process optimisation and technology. We hope to grow our team from 30 to 50 persons by the end of the year.

Even in this difficult economical period, MG tends to triple its turn-over this year yet again thanks to a strong client relationship management.
