We’re searching for a** Groups and MICE Sales Manager in Lisbon** to join our team of free thinkers and collaborators.
You'd be at the sales-helm of our first Locke in Lisbon, Portugal, when it's most exciting, as we prepare to open our doors for the first time in the country. Reporting to the Head of Groups and MICE Sales, you'll take ownership of sales activity for Locke de Santa Joana for MICE agents and group clients, using your local knowledge and networking prowess to develop profitable, sustainable business.
**A role less ordinary.**
**The primary function of this role is to take responsibility for the strategy, planning and ongoing execution of sales activity for a portofolio of new and existing Groups and MICE clients on behalf of Locke de Santa Joana. You'll deliver optimal Groups and MICE revenue into key edyn properties from this defined portfolio of clients. In addition, you'll contribute to the development of all Groups and MICE sales enquiry processes and segment specific online and offline marketing collateral.**
- Actively seeking and winning new business in the realm of Groups and MICE
- Generating, qualifying and following up on leads from MICE agents and Corporates through all relevant sources
- Increase group volumes through a variety of segements
- Ensure an understanding of the local Sales Plan for each key property, and understand the required sales mix per property
- Conduct FAM trips, sales presentations, networking events and B2B marketing
- Assistat in securing and maintaining beneficial partnershops with key MICE / Groups Agencies
- Secure base group business at property level
- Account management; you'll be responsible for sales and service across a designated portfolio of existing clients
- Conduct regular client review meetings to ensure each relationship is successfully maintained
- Complete all internal processes to ensure each account is correctly set up within edyn
- Ensure excellent knowledge of company network and key locations, attending training events where approproate and developing a good knowledge of the business travel industry
**Who you are.**
- Portuguese speaking and writing is a must, as well as English conversational and writing skills
- Familiarity with local Lisbon Groups and MICE agents in particular, and similar agents in Portugal in general
- Next-level communication skills, with no-nonsense commerical awareness and a brain built for problem-solving
- Hospitality sales and account management experience in Lisbon
- Competence in Word, PowerPoint and Excel
- Local knowledge and contacts in Lisbon
- Demonstrable understanding of Locke's business and brand
- Innate customer service skills, with a determination to deliver on targets
- Impeccable planning and organisation
