Mission

The Project Manager will oversee the planning, execution, and tracking of the investment plans, related to plant masterplan execution, new products industrialization, and other improvements - extrusion, casthouse, die shop, thermal break shop, profile machining shop, including buildings infrastructure and service in accordance with agreed upon deliverables, timings, budgets and quality.

Responsabilities

Create a detailed project work plan for Hydro Aluminium Extrusion Portugal, which identify and sequence the projects and activities needed to successfully establish and deliver the Industrial MasterPlan programme

Define and implement a Programme Delivery Strategy and capture through the preparation of a Programme Execution Plan which provides the basis for delivery including governance and approvals, KPI reporting, individual project management and overall budget management

Coordinate with others to align Hydro Avintes Management systems, across all aspects of Industrialization and Operations.

Introduce arrangements to monitor compliance with HSE and best practice across all aspects of Industrialisation/Operations.

Establish alignment with all other functions across all aspects Hydro Extruded Solution objectives and resolve ambiguities with others.

Plan, prepare and manage the investment budget, including forecasting and monthly reporting.

Determine and manage the resources (time, money, capital equipment, etc.) required to complete the Projects and on an ongoing basis manage resource availability across the organisation.

Arrange for and undertake regular reviews of the Projects objectives with senior stakeholders. Revise schedules/plan as required.

Implement and establish project controls that enable monitoring and reporting to be undertaken.

Create and set up forms and records in IT system to document key decisions and ensure that all project information is appropriately documented and secured.

Coach, mentor and support colleagues with project management expertise to manage the delivery of tasks and activities.

Monitor the progress of taks and activities and adjust as necessary to ensure their successful completion.

Draft, provide and maintain the reports on the MasterPlan for management review.

Ensure that the project deliverables are on time, within budget and at the required level of quality.

Skills and Experience

**Level of education and experience in general**: The incumbent will have extensive experience (5+ years) gained at industry, including projects, and be able to demonstrate direct knowledge of project management through manufacturing to launch process, from concept to industrialisation. Technical undergraduate degree in engineering, or similar.

**Behavioural skills**: The incumbent must be able to build effective working relationships with internal and external clients; must have strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills; must be able to thrive in a multi-cultural environment. Must possess advanced verbal and written communications skills and should be comfortable giving presentations. Deal with a wide scope of contacts at different levels of seniority within the organization to ensure smooth execution of project activities. The position requires handling multiple priorities and balancing a demanding environment with an even disposition. Must be highly ethical, personable, a team player and adaptable.
