**The position**
- As Legal and Compliance Specialist, you will be a key stakeholder to drive the Portuguese affiliate’s legal, compliance and business ethics focus and be instrumental in accelerating business success and putting patients first as we are working to optimise serious chronic diseases’ care.- Some of your responsibilities will be to:
- Support line of business in carrying out their activity without compromising business ethics, by identifying and mitigating compliance risks, providing reliable compliance counsel on both general and specific business ethics and compliance matters.
- Implement new and more agile procedures, analysing work processes in order to identify measures which will enhance business efficiency in a compliant manner.
- Assist the Legal and Compliance Manager in driving the local Compliance Programme: develop, execute and follow up on key compliance initiatives, support in the preparation for internal and external audits in relation to compliance, monitor business ethics activities, training of new employees and targeted relevant stakeholders.
- Represent the affiliate before other stakeholders, such as APIFARMA.
- Support the affiliate in what regards to GPDR compliance, acting as a Data Privacy Deputy.
**Qualifications**
- Minimum of Law degree. Further educational specialization in compliance will be a plus.
- At least 2+ years’ experience as a registered lawyer.
- Experience in a regulated industry is a must, to have it in the pharmaceutical industry is not mandatory but will be an advantage.
- Data Privacy knowledge is a must.
- Fluency in Portuguese and English, including good communication and presentation skills.
- As a person, you are business-oriented and act with courage which allows you to be part of decisions in pioneering projects to improve healthcare in Portugal, as well with integrity, in order to ensure we never compromise on business ethics.- You are structured and detail-oriented, with a keen interest in understanding all parts of our business.- You have strong work ethics and are willing to take responsibility for your own learning and take ownership of your own tasks.**About the Department**
- As our new Legal and Compliance Specialist you will directly report to the Legal and Compliance Manager of the Portuguese affiliate.- There is also a strong collaboration between the colleagues within the six affiliates and teams in the business area. Also, you will work cross-functionally with several other departments in the Portuguese affiliate to achieve common goals, as well as with external stakeholders and agencies.**Contact**
