The Data and Analytics Center of Excellence is looking for a manager for our growing Analytics team in Lisbon As an Analytics Manager specializing in PowerBI, you will play a pivotal role in transforming data into actionable insights, driving data-driven decision-making within the organization. This role requires a deep understanding of PowerBI, data visualization, and strong analytical skills to guide the company towards data-driven success. You will also manage, lead, and mentor a growing team of analysts, fostering a collaborative and data-driven culture within the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Data Analysis and Visualization:

- Develop and maintain PowerBI dashboards and reports that provide actionable insights to various stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their data needs and design appropriate dashboards.

Data Governance:

- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and security within PowerBI reports.
- Implement data governance practices, including data source validation and access controls.

Report Development:

- Design, create, and optimize PowerBI reports to communicate complex data findings effectively.
- Continuously improve report performance and user experience.
- Develop and implement best practices and standards for PowerBI and dashboard visual design.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to identify key business questions and provide strategic insights and dashboards to answer those questions.

Data Transformation:

- Integrate data from various business units and data models to create a unified view for analysis.
- Drive best practices regarding where data transformation will be created, ensuring fast and cost-efficient performance.
- Troubleshoot issues, ensure data pipelines are robust, and develop QA/QC measures for pipelines and dashboards.

Team Leadership:

- Lead a team of analysts and data professionals, providing guidance, training, and support.
- Foster a collaborative and data-driven culture within the team and the organization.
- Partner closely with other teams within the COE and our business partners.
- Create a PowerBI user community within Bose, driving best practices to enable self-service analytics and a data driven culture.

Technology Evaluation:

- Stay updated on the latest PowerBI features and enhancements and evaluate their potential impact on the organization.
- Recommend tools and technologies that can complement PowerBI for better analytics.
- Define and execute an enterprise PowerBI strategy, including best practices in data modeling and visualization.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Data Science, Analytics, Computer Science).
- Proven experience in data analysis and visualization with an emphasis on PowerBI (certification is a plus).
- Strong proficiency in SQL for data extraction and transformation.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Familiarity and experience enabling CI/CD best practices within PowerBI
- Leadership experience, with the ability to mentor and guide a team.
- Strong communication skills to convey complex data findings to non-technical stakeholders.
- Expertise in data visualization best practices
- Experience with data warehousing and Analytical Engineering platforms (e.g. Snowflake, DBT).

Preferred Qualifications:

- Master's degree in a related field.
