Manager, Product Management

Overview

In partnership with regional Merchant and Acceptance teams and cross-functional partners around the globe, Global Acceptance Solutions works to expand merchant acceptance and help merchants and acquirers grow their businesses through Acceptance solutions and programs. At its essence, building acceptance is about driving the secular shift from cash to electronic payments, with the promise of giving consumers the best payment experience - one that’s fast, convenient and secure.

The Manager, Transit Acceptance Product will be focused on the execution of Mastercard’s strategy to embed Mastercard’s solutions at the heart of the public and private mobility space. This individual will work across a range of diverse internal and external stakeholders to assess our current offering as to what works, what doesn’t and what isn’t in existence yet. The individual will build on this assessment to gather more detailed requirements and support and drive the product from concept to market launch, will lead pilots with key customers adopting our solutions and create customer-facing material to promote commercialization and track performances.

Role
- Takes an active role in supporting the delivering of our Urban Mobility Product strategy with a range of internal and external stakeholders
- With a data-driven approach and critical mindset to benchmark where our products are against market expectations (and competitors) and look at product enhancements (in collaboration with a range of stakeholders), identifying opportunity areas and contributing to the Product roadmap, prioritizing work to deliver against key areas of focus
- Map market conditions to Mastercard’s Transit capabilities to identify near
- and mid-term commercial opportunities; size markets and flow.
- Support the creation of Mastercard’s transit product proposition that resonates internally and with our customers and work with the marketing and user experience teams to create corresponding sales materials
- Act as the central point of contact for internal and external customers needing help on our Urban Mobility solutions and ensure coordination among your counterparts in each target region and product. Provide direct support as each of these teams drives product adoption among customers in their market.
- Work with a range of internal and external stakeholders to support requirements gathering for a range of mobility use cases, with the ability to internalize within Mastercard and overlay onto Mastercard's broader Product offering
- Plan & track product performance and develop ideas for product enhancements to address emerging customer requirements or scale customer adoption.
- Own and deliver on post-launch reviews and customer feedback, drive the associated actions, and incorporates feedback into future launch plans
- Reports to Director, Transit Acceptance Product

All About You Experience/Education requirements
- Awareness and understanding of Mastercard’s key customers, partners, and external stakeholders in the Urban Mobility Space
- Strong experience and knowledge of the business drivers and technology of consumer payments, especially tokenization and authentication.
- Comfortable rapidly absorbing complex business and technical knowledge. You seek out daunting intellectual challenges as a pastime.
- Possess a blend of analytical capability, strategic thinking, and emotional intelligence and able to dive deep on all areas of the business to deliver creative solutions to unstructured problems.
- Comfortable communicating strategy, project status, and complex ideas to executive leadership.
- Willing to hear new ideas and objectively consider challengers in the interest of achieving the best possible customer outcomes.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Bachelor's degree required.
