Our Porto office is located in Portugal's vibrant second city, known for its history and its creative yet cosy environment. You can have an informal meeting in the treehouse or play the piano during your lunch break
**THE ROLE**
Is based in Portugal but runs the payroll for the UK. The role will involve extensive collaboration with People Ops peers in every Farfetch office, who will partner to design and deliver a Farfetcher globally consistent employee experience. It will also include working with a wide range of stakeholders, including Farfetchers, Contractors, Talent Acquisition, People Partners, Benefits Team and Total Rewards members.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- lead the UK Payroll Team, including overseeing the work allocation, training, problem-solving and performance management
- Ensure strong communication between the Payroll Team and its stakeholders to ensure data accuracy and compliance with processes and UK payroll legislation
- Lead the monthly payroll reporting and payroll sign off including variance analysis and gross-to-net reporting
- Oversee the preparation of employment contracts and general HR administration
- Audit Pension Auto Enrolment reconciliations
- You will ensure the tax compliance of the payroll operations, completion of year-end processes, and RTI submissions
- Support the input and reconciliation of equity processing
- Lead on payroll audit
- Continually review effectiveness Workday processes
WHO YOU ARE
- An experienced leader who can engage and motivate a team environment, with a minimum of 4 years experience as a Payroll Manager/Manager in HR or Finance, including leading or working with a Payroll Team
- Experienced in working on medium UK payrolls with 1000+ employees
- Strategic and hands-on approach
- Workday experience or similar HRS systems
- Highly analytical and numerical with strong experience in data analysis
- Previous experience with year-end processing and reconciliation
- Work in a high-paced team environment
- Approachable and comfortable dealing with all levels of business especially when dealing with complex tax, benefit, and equity queries
- Proactive problem solver and have the ability to drive continuous improvement in payroll processes
- Able to work with tight deadlines and can ensure accuracy
- Strong communicator
