Our Porto office is located in Portugal's vibrant second city, known for its history and its creative yet cosy environment. You can have an informal meeting in the treehouse or play the piano during your lunch break

**ROLE**

Based in Portugal to run the payroll for Portugal, you'll be responsible for involving extensive collaboration with People Ops peers in every Farfetch office, who will partner to design and deliver a Farfetcher globally consistent employee experience. It will also include working with various stakeholders, including Farfetchers, Contractors, Talent Acquisition, People Partners, Benefits Team, and Total Rewards members.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Lead the PT Payroll Team, including overseeing the work allocation, training, problem-solving, and performance management
- Managing any escalations from the team linked to hard-to-answer payroll queries or more challenging issues
- Ensure strong communication between the Payroll Team and its stakeholders to ensure data accuracy and compliance with processes and PT legislation
- Lead the monthly payroll reporting and payroll sign off including variance analysis and gross-to-net reporting
- Oversee the preparation of employment contracts and general HR administration
- Participating in payroll audits
- You will ensure the tax compliance of the payroll operations, completion of year-end processes
- Support the continuous improvement of payroll processes and the use of systems.

WHO YOU ARE
- An experienced leader who can engage and motivate a team environment, with a minimum of 4 years experience as a Payroll Manager/Manager in HR or Finance, including leading or working with a Payroll Team
- Strategic and hands-on approach
- Workday experience or similar HRS systems
- SAP HR knowledge
- Highly analytical and numerical with strong experience in data analysis
- Previous experience with year-end processing and reconciliation
- Work in a high-paced team environment
- Approachable and comfortable dealing with all levels of business especially when dealing with complex tax, benefit, and equity queries
- Proactive problem solver and have the ability to drive continuous improvement in payroll processes
- Able to work with tight deadlines and can ensure accuracy
- Strong communicator
