Job Purpose
With global activities organized from our HQ in Geneva, Switzerland, COFCO International is seeking a Business Analyst for a 12 months mandate to support strategic and key global project implementation. The overall goal is to support the implementation of the new Mark to Market (MTM) policy companywide which involves documentation of MTM methodologies and Independent Price Verification (IPV) processes for each region, price curves standardization, daily price checks implementation in the central price repository, automation of prices feeds from upstream to downstream systems for PnL and other company’s metrics such as FX and risk metrics.
**Responsibilities**:
Working closely with the Project team, Stakeholders, internal Global and Local Teams, and External Vendor, the main responsibilities are but are not limited to:
Document MtM methodologies and IPV processes for each region within CIL’s scope and solutions agreed;
Create a global shared mark-to-market methodology repository including description, update frequency, curve owner, list of sources currently in use, and IPV methodology, for each price within a curve;
Track and follow up on new price curve creation requests, ensuring standardized data consistency with price repository database structure;
Ensure that necessary checks and controls are made to ensure that the integrity of the data in the external central price repository is maintained, as it will be used for the IPV process companywide;
Guarantee that all curves follow the approved standards of implementation and maintenance which include but are not limited to, identified owners, update frequency, standard naming, curve checks, curve independent sources, supporting the parallel task of price curves data clean-up and standardization;
Support the roll-out of a new set of controls to be implemented in our external central price repository for daily prices and monthly KPIs, including testing and business partnering with internal and external IT teams;
Work with Regional Finance and Controlling as well as IT departments to lead automation of price information from the central repository to downstream systems such as trading and accounting systems, including the documentation of detailed functional specifications to allow this flow;
Participate in lower scale projects of creating reports to signal material changes in price, observability risk, missed prices, interpreting data changes, and others;
Other relevant business analytics tasks to guarantee the Project’s success without disruption to the Business.
**Requirements**:
Bachelor, postgraduate, or Master's degree in Management, Finance, Data Science, Engineering, or another relevant area of study;
Up to 3 years of professional experience in a similar role;
Experience with global project implementation is a plus;
Fluent English speaker;
Very good analytical skills;
Able to synthesize a big amount of data and information;
The logical approach to complex problem solving;
Pro-active nature;
Thorough with keen attention to detail;
Articulate communicator;
Understanding IPV, MtM, and valuation techniques is a plus.
