Euronext

Euronext is the primary exchange in the Euro zone with close to 1 900 listed issuers worth more than €5.6 trillion in market capitalization as of end March 2021, an unmatched blue-chip franchise and a strong diverse domestic and international client base.

Euronext operates regulated and transparent equity and derivatives markets. Its total product offering includes Equities, Exchange Traded Funds, Warrants & Certificates, Bonds, Derivatives, Commodities and Indices. Euronext also leverages its expertise in running markets by providing technology and managed services to third parties. Euronext operates regulated markets, Euronext Growth and Euronext Access.

Finance Team

Euronext Finance department supports the Group governance and organisation and is accountable for the accurate representation of Euronext operations and internal and external reporting.

Finance oversees books’ keeping for the Group and its legal entities in all geographies, produces budget as well as all financial and non-financial indicators and data necessary for the effective management of the company and the compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

The Finance department is accountable for preserving Euronext assets’ value and reputation by maintaining best practices and accurate internal and external reporting, designing and maintaining efficient processes and identifying and assessing key financials risks and mitigating controls.

ESG Team

Within Euronext, the ESG Department is in charge of Euronext’s Sustainability journey, rolling out its 1.5 degree roadmap as well as ensuring that the non-financial information provided meets the needs of its various stakeholders including rating agencies.

The ESG team is also in charge of the development and promotion of sustainable financial products (indices, bonds, derivatives, equities etc.) as well as supporting Euronext clients in their ESG journey. Our mission is to build capital markets for future generations and position Euronext as a thought leader on Sustainable Finance topics. As ESG is a transversal topic that runs through the organization, the team works in collaboration with many geographies and teams to create and promote the ESG value proposition.

Role’s mission

The ESG data Manager will report into the Finance team accountable for the quality and the correctness of the data provided for ESG regulatory reporting purposes and work very closely and in direct connection with the ESG Team to contribute to the execution of ESG Group strategy and to the general company’s efforts to become “the sustainable leading exchange”. He/she will also work closely with internal and external stakeholders as required to collect, analyze and interpret data and prepare the reports related to ESG/sustainability topics, ensuring its accuracy and relevance.

Key Accountabilities

Within the Finance team, the ESG Data Manager will:

- Lead the data collection and reporting processes required by the ESG strategy and regulation as addressed by and with the ESG Team, including the preparation of the ESG elements of the annual Registration document and TCFD reporting
- Engage and structure dialogue and process with the different business and departments to effectively collect ESG data from the different teams and systems sources to structure and strengthen the quality and the efficiency of the reporting and data collection process.
- Assist ESG team in the roll-out of new ESG regulations, by ensuring collection of new data points and anticipate new needs
- Prepare regular internal reporting on ESG related metrics for senior management, assist in analysis to help understand trends and where strategic controls are needed.
- Create and maintain ESG data collection and analysis process, associated risks and controls
- Create and maintain the adequate Group ESG database ensuring that the ESG team deliverables and all internal and external audits and questionnaires can be properly answered (rating agencies, investors, clients, audits, etc.)
- Define requirements, select and roll-out the relevant technology solution to manage ESG data collection, performance management and reporting and also identify opportunities for solution improvements dependent on reporting requirements

Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required

Profile
- Experienced professional with proven experience in ESG reporting or financial reporting.

Desired attributes and skills
- Very good command of English (oral and written)
- Minimum of 4+ years of professional experience in complex and international company/context
- A strong background in finance, accounting, reporting. Specific experience/knowledge on sustainability and ESG topics and non-financial reporting is highly valued.
- Excellent project management skills
- Proven analytical and reporting skills
- Mastering data mgt and reporting tools (Excel, Power BI, ERP, etc). Coding skills are a plus.
