Kelly Services is recruiting a **Quality Technician (M/F)** for a prestigious client located in Setúbal.

**Main Purpose of Role**:
This is a key Operations role reporting to the Engineering Manager. The Quality Technician is responsible for ensuring the quality of products meets the required standard, and dealing with customer complaints, including assessing the root cause of problems. The Quality Technician leads continuous improvement projects and provides support for Manufacturing, Logistics and Customer Service.

**Main Duties & Responsibilities**:
**Job Role**
- Establishing the quality criteria for new and existing products.
- Evaluating the risk in processes through PFMEA.
- Ensuring adherence to Gratnells Quality and Safety systems.
- Coordinating Quality Assurance activities through compliance to the ISO 9001 Standard.
- Performing internal audits to ensure products and processes remain compliant.
- Dealing with customer related issues using structured problem-solving techniques.
- Establish processes and procedures to drive out errors.
- Reviewing, enhancing, and refining production processes to ensure they are lean and value-adding.
- Control and maintenance of the calibration system.
- Champion and promote continuous improvement and a 5S culture within the business.
- Implementing robust corrective and preventive actions to ensure that there is no re-occurrence of issues.
- Monitor and analyse quality trends for key processes such as reject and rework rates, customer complaints, etc.
- Evaluation of key supplier performance.

- Assertive and proactive; should be self-motivated, goal-orientated, quality-driven and capable of working with mínimal supervision.
- Be able to motivate staff members to work to their potential.
- Ability to read technical drawings, manuals, and technical specifications.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills.
- Highly organised.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work to tight deadlines and schedules.
- Motivation to meet and exceed key performance indicators.
- Strong team player, capable of building good working relationships with the Supply Chain & key stakeholders.
- A willingness to be flexible and versatile as per business needs.

**Qualifications & Skills**:

- Educated in Engineering disciplines.
- Able to work with measuring equipment such as micrometers, calipers, gauges.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with people at all levels within the company as well as clients and customers.
- Working comprehension of the MS Suite of tools.
