Nacelle Module in Vestas Power Solutions is responsible for developing the complete Vestas nacelle program both onshore and offshore. The team consist of experienced design engineers, highly skilled FEA designers, project managers, technical module leads, yaw engineers, cover engineers and cooling & conditioning designers. Besides design of nacelle structure and nacelle enclosure, the nacelle module is responsible for all component integration within the nacelles with focus on HSE and optimization towards the full value chain. Nacelle Technical Management is a cross functional sub-department of Nacelle Module. The department is accountable for final approval of module requirements, design solutions, technical quality, risks and solutions that are developed in the Nacelle sub-modules. The team will guide feasibility studies and the initial scoping of Nacelle projects as well as ensuring cross-functional and full value chain alignment. The Nacelle module team is in three different hubs: at Aarhus in Denmark, Porto in Portugal and in Chennai, India.

**Responsibilities**

You will be directly reporting to the Nacelle Module Design Owner and in close collaboration with Project Manager, Senior Function Leads and the different Sub-Modules Technical leads, being responsible for coordinating complex projects with the following activities:

- Deliver the projects according to Safety, Quality, Time and Cost requirements
- Being responsible for delivering the best quality/time technical solution across all sub-modules and modules
- Together with Senior function leads specify requirements and break down product management requirements to technical requirements
- Identify technical risks and implement mitigation strategies together with the TLs and Project Manager
- Evaluate scope change requests with respect to technical risk, competence needs/gap and impact on project/product targets
- Prepare and implement peer and technical reviews, and approve the content delivered in the work packages within those reviews
- Ensure that our processes are followed along the entire value chain, and contribute to a continuous improvement of processes and way of working

**Qualifications**
- Bachelor or Master degree in Mechanical Engineering (or other relevant area)
- You have industry experience (>3 years) in the design of complex diligently components
- Specific work experience within the wind industry is beneficial but not required

**Competencies**

You have a previous experience with within new product development of large steel structures with fundamental knowledge of:

- Good technical background (structural calculations, welded steel structures, etc...)
- Mechanical interfaces
- Great understanding of project management (project phases, risks, technical management)
- System engineering knowledge (translate project requirements to technical component requirements)
- Great stakeholders management skills
- Technical Lead on projects
- Knowledge about VWTM is an added value
- Agile (SCRUM) knowledge is an added value
- You have combined your technical expertise with an great business mindset, which allows you to consider commercial implications in your technical decision-making
- You motivate yourself through the results that you accomplish and address your tasks creatively with a high degree of personal responsibility
- Your organizational and communicative skills allow you to achieve your results together with an international and multi-disciplinary design team inside Vestas
- You trust in teamwork and empowerment
- You have a go do approach to obstacles in project execution
- Your balanced personality and self-confidence in your skills enables you to organize multiple tasks in parallel and keep a clear sight of the targets even when stakes are high
- Good language skills (speaking and writing) in English are required
