**Estágio Profissional - Energy Market Analyst**

**Mission**:
As an active partner in changing the energy paradigm, Galp is reshaping its portfolio. You will be a crucial player in this shift to higher profitability and lower carbon intensity by contributing to the decision-making process across several commodities, with a special focus on oil and gas.

**What you´ll do**:

- Market fundamentals & dynamics: provide market analysis to support strategic decisions and contribute to the elaboration of in-house market views
- Short and long-term variables: gather external data on the evolution of prices and price drivers of different commodities; process and analyze that data, combine it with internal knowledge and elaborate Galp’s own view on the key variables impacting the company’s revenues
- Market trends and disruptions: have a comprehensive view on the evolution of energy markets and anticipate market disruptions (technological, fundamental and conjunctural) supporting portfolio optimization activities
- Develop analytical tools to inform portfolio optimization, pricing and front office decisions: sense-check assumptions and define methodologies for risk assessment and profitability calculation
- Quantify the impact and value of risk mitigating measures: hedging products and leveraging on Galp’s presence across the value chain of different products (supply and retail)
- Support the structuring of energy management strategies that maximize Galp’s expected revenue, considering the company’s desired risk profile
- Quantify the impacts and contribute to the structuring of different deals in close coordination with the front office

**What you’ll need**:

- Degree in a Business, Engineering, or Mathematics field (advanced degree is a plus)
- Experience using MS Office (mainly Excel and PowerPoint)
- Talent for time management and attention to detail
- Analytical mind and strong worth ethic
- Flexibility and ability to perform with a substantial degree of autonomy
- Fluent English and Portuguese (Spanish is a plus), both verbally and written
