Paydock is seeking Release & Recovery Manager(s) to join our Enablement Tribe. You will have the opportunity to work with global leaders, payment service providers and technology vendors across Europe, APAC, US and other markets while being part of the next generation of payments for merchants and the industry.

As a significant role in the business, you will start by reporting to the Head of Architecture. Your key role will be to work closely with Product; Engineering; Support; Platform and Operations to successfully manage and lead these end to end processes to deliver high quality products and services for our customers across the globe.

This role is responsible for leading and facilitating these processes; defining the strategy, scope, schedule and success criteria; coordinating activities across different teams within Paydock; communicating the status, risks and issues to customers and stakeholders; monitoring and reacting in a timely and effective manner ensuring compliance with policies and standards.

Release, Incident and Disaster Recovery are crucial processes for delivering, maintaining and monitoring software products and services to our customers and stakeholders. It involves planning, coordinating, testing, deploying and monitoring across different platforms, environments and stages.

**How you will make an impact > Release Management**:

- Develop and execute comprehensive release plans, including scheduling, resource allocation, and risk assessment.
- Lead, educate and coach the release team, ensuring alignment with business goals and timelines.
- Establish a minimum set of requirements (DoR) necessary for a successful release, ensuring comprehensive readiness.
- Collaborate with Sales and Support teams to communicate release schedules and potential impacts on customer events.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date release documentation, including release notes, schedules, and deployment plans.
- Generate reports to track release progress and performance metrics.
- Effectively communicate release schedules, status updates, and potential impacts to relevant teams and stakeholders.
- Act as a liaison between development, QA, operations, and other cross-functional teams.
- Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with releases, minimising disruption to production environments.
- Collaborate closely with QA teams to ensure thorough testing of releases, verifying functionality and identifying any potential issues.
- Continuously evaluate and refine release processes to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and compliance with industry best practices.
- Gain an understanding of CI/CD pipelines, including technical checks, and work optimisation.
- Understand and initiate rollback procedures when necessary to maintain system integrity.

**How you will make an impact > Incident Management / Disaster Recovery**:

- Develop, implement, and own incident management policies, procedures, and processes.
- Support incident response teams during critical events, ensuring timely resolution and mínimal impact on operations.
- Tracking of overall activities and processes during critical events for later usage in BLM postmortem.
- Investigate the underlying root cause of major incidents and manage the actions with support teams for improvements.
- Disaster Recovery Planning: Coordinate the development of comprehensive disaster recovery plans, including business continuity, data recovery, and IT systems restoration strategies. Coordinate regular tests and drills to validate the effectiveness of disaster recovery plans.
- Coordinate Identification of potential risks and vulnerabilities that may lead to incidents or business continuity issues.
- Coordinate implementation of proactive measures to mitigate identified risks and enhance resilience.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of incident and recovery strategies with overall business objectives.
- Establish effective communication channels for incident reporting, escalation, and resolution.
- Coordinate responses to requests for planned maintenance, system upgrades and service changes.
- Maintain accurate records of incidents, including root cause analysis and lessons learned. Generate monthly incident reports for management review and future improvements.
