The role
What you’ll need to succeed
This role ideally suits someone with extensive experience managing cross functional and POD structured teams. Experience in working in a ‘high traffic’ environment such as e-commerce or alternatively within a consultancy.
You should be comfortable operating autonomously and have experience with managing vendors, showing proactivity in your approach to issue resolution as well as having strong written and verbal communication skills.
You’ll also be able to work as part of the project delivery team and build internal relationships with the functional and technical delivery teams for guidance and knowledge transfer of new features.
Role and responsibilities
- Responsible for analysing and reviewing specifications.
- Plans all system releases and ensures new QA initiatives and releases are signed off.
- Responsible for System QA KPIs and reporting of metrics.
- Ensures QA consistent approach and adherence.
- Defines and guides test cases development for full e2e testing of systems.
- Responsible for PODs Testers performance and continues improvement.
- Performs peer-to-peer review for test plan and test cases.
- Responsible for System QA automation, achieving the required automation targets.
- Responsible for POD quality control followed as defined in each sprint.
- Coordinates with release manager the system builds setup and continues control.
- Responsible for all types of testing: Functional, Non-Functional, DB, API
- Provide leadership and technical expertise within Test Automation, Testing Methodologies, Testing Processes, Tools and Techniques and Quality Assurance across the teams.
- Be accountable for the test automation projects, mentor, and provide leadership to the QA team.
- Work with Head of QA, System Owners, and our vendor Teams to develop and execute QA strategies to meet and exceed department and corporate quality goals.
- Ensure that the development teams adhere to the principles, guidelines, and best practices of the QA strategy as defined by Head of QA
- Focus on continuous QA improvements including usage of appropriate testing tools, test techniques, test automation and team sizing.
**REQUIREMENTS**:
Qualifications /Skills /Experience
- Be a strong leader with experience in implementing and shaping the company’s QA processes and strategies.
- Strong educational background, BSc (Computer Science or related) required.
- Have strong technical skills, both functional and non-functional, manual and automation, ideally in a continuous delivery environment (Selenium, JMeter, API tools)
- English language - excellent listening, interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills is a must.
- Experience of Jira is an advantage.
- Ability to build confidence with stakeholders and work closely with them to determine acceptable resolution and support KPI’s.
- Excellent troubleshooting /problem solving skills.
- Excellent communicator with the ability to understand and prioritise issues into actionable resolutions.
