The **EDP Renewables**, company of EDP Group, aims to be a long-term market leader in the renewable energy sector, pursuing credibility through safety, value creation, social responsibility, innovation, and respect for the environment. To support us, we intend to recruit for the **CONSTRUCTION EU Department a **Construction Area Manager/ Head**.**
- Responsible for overseeing all construction activities, including Solar PV and Onshore Wind Farms projects, from planning to handover to Operations & Maintenance.
- Main duties include:

- Pre-Construction Management: Estimating CapEx and planning. Conducting constructability reviews. Managing tender process and contracting strategy.
- Construction Management: Developing Construction Management Plan. Managing teams, contractors, and services. Ensuring compliance and documentation.
- Pre-Operations Management: Managing commissioning and handover. Ensuring compliance and documentation.
- Technical Support: Assisting in due diligence processes. Supporting engineering and O&M.
- Strategic Support: Contributing to vision, strategy, and improvement initiatives. Enhancing compliance and market initiatives.
- Area Management: Managing objectives, resources, and budget. Defining strategy and risk management.
- Team Management: Leading and developing the construction team.
- Policy and Legal Compliance: Ensuring adherence to company policies and regulations.
- Institutional Representation: Representing the company with stakeholders.

Overall, the role involves strategic planning, project management, technical expertise, and stakeholder engagement to ensure successful construction projects in renewable energy.

**What we are looking for**:

- Master of Science in Engineering, preferably in electrical or civil works or similar;
- Ideally 10 years of relevant experience in construction of onshore wind farms, solar PV, substations and high voltages lines;
- Relevant experience in construction of other renewable or equivalent projects in power sector (preferrable);
- Experience working in a large-scale utility and multicultural environment (preferrable);
- Knowledge of Construction Management; Project Management; Onshore wind and Solar PV regulations on the country; Onshore wind and Solar PV country´s market; Electric and civil works;
- Good knowledge of MS Project and MS Office;
- High level of English;
- Organizational skills (creating structure and order, boosting efficiency, and prioritizing task);
- Ability to report key indicators and resources management;
- Ability to make rational decisions, even when under pressure;
- Excellent communication, diplomatic, networking and influencing skills;
- Understanding and alignment with corporate culture and/or ability to adapt quickly to the corporate culture;
- Proactivity, leadership, ability to take initiative and ability to interact with suppliers.
- Strong sense of values and ethics, and confidentiality when dealing with sensitive information.
- Ability to work within approved budgets and under deadline pressure and deliver high quality results.
- Flexibility and availability to travel regularly in the country and from time to time internationally.
