**Our Product**
A revolutionary platform that completely digitises the existing process of quoting and ordering of custom manufactured parts whilst ensuring the highest operational and quality outcomes. Our main customers are Design Engineers, Mechanical Engineers and Procurement teams building the world’s most innovative products.
**About the Role**
We have recently expanded Geomiq and created a new Quality hub in Porto, Portugal. This is to help our EU manufacturers with delivering products and ensuring our quality checks are delivered in a timely and efficient manner. We are currently looking for a General Manager to join our Porto Team and help to monitor the daily operations of the Porto hub as well as mentor the team we currently have out there.
- Key Responsibilities:_
- Set operational policies and budgets for Porto hub
- Meet strategic goals for the Porto hub quarterly
- Supervise employees to ensure they are performing their tasks to the highest quality
- Supplier development - driving the supplier development team to hit monthly/quarterly targets
- Management of goods in and out
- Supervising the in-house quality control of manufactured components
- Liaising with accountants and budget management
**What are we looking for?**
- Experience Required:_
- 3+ years’ experience working as a general manager or operations manager
- Experience within the manufacturing or mechanical engineering industry
- Able to read and understand technical Engineering Drawings (ideally for CNC machined parts at a minimum)
- 3+ years’ experience working in supplier development
- Excellent understanding of Portuguese tax systems
- Fluent in both Portuguese and English
- Strong IT skills
- Ability to work autonomously
- Excellent communication skills
- Desired Experience_
- Experience working in a digital marketplace
