PRIO is the biggest biofuel producer in Portugal and the third largest European biodiesel producer from residual raw materials. Operates and supplies more than 250 service stations, distributed from North to South all over the country. Operates an independent storage and primary logistics terminal in Aveiro, through which can obtain supplies from the international market. Holds a prominent position in electric mobility, with more than 10 years of experience and over 150 charging points. It has a network of more than 2000 bottled gas sales points.

**Market Analyst**

Reporting to the Trading and Risk Management team leader, this Market Analyst will be monitoring markets in PRIO’s activity area, their evolution and respective report.

**KEY RESPONSABILITIES**

Prepare and analyze market reports, business plans and performance targets as required.

Daily reconciliations of broker/counterparty documents and trading system transactions.

Monitor trading contracts and positions on a daily basis; identify the associated price exposures and develop a daily plan to hedge existing exposures with the trading desk.

Keep up-to-date on market information and knowledge management, and reflect market insights in trading strategies and positions.

Input transactions in the energy trading and risk management system, abiding by established internal procedures and manuals.
Identify and correct mapping P&L and exposures in risk position.
- Perform trade analysis while utilizing custom technology systems.

Develop risk management tools and maintain models using automated, statistical, and machine-learning techniques.

Manage and customize the activity report tools and dashboards.

Identify opportunities for process improvements and system enhancements to strengthen the overall risk management and control framework.

Innovating new ideas for trading tools and strategies, then working with the analysis and development teams to implement them.

**VALUED SKILLS**

Degree/Master in Mathematics, Economics, Management or similar

Recent graduated or up to 2 years of experience in the financial area.

Knowledge of Reuters System

Nice level of Excel, Power BI & Power Point; Programming skills (nice to have)

Good combination of technical and business knowledge

Good level of English (mandatory) and Spanish

High problem-solving capabilities

Ability to work in dynamic and ambiguous projects

Ability to collaborate/Teamwork; Easiness to work with cross-functional teams

Attention to detail, Adaptability, Critical thinking, Initiative, Resilience, Organization skills

Experience in high-competition sports (is a plus)

Passionate for energy transition and up to date on innovation trends in the energy sector (nice to have)
