**Finance Specialist**:

- REQUISITION ID: 5009- LOCATION: Porto, PT- DEPARTMENT: Administration**Finance Specialist - Portugal Porto's office**

The Finance Specialist reports to the Country Manager and in functional reporting line to the CFO France, Belgium & Portugal in close collaboration with the representatives of Operational Functions - Project Management and Service.

YOUR TASKS
- Finalize organizational steps after the set up of a limited liability company in Portugal, together with Country Manager
- Provide finance and commercial support to the country manager and the other key functions
- Align with the Regional Accounting department in Hamburg on the monthly management accounts preparation and financial reporting (IFRS)
- Review the profit and loss account regularly to ensure revenue and costs are correctly booked and reported.
- Ensure incoming invoices are processed and approved by the relevant stakeholders according to Group procedures
- Coordinate vendors payments process and support to Nordex Treasury department for any treasury and finance related matter
- Align with external consultants as well as with Nordex Tax department on the preparation of the annual tax return and monthly VAT reports
- Ensure correct tax and customs reporting to Portuguese authorities
- Support the preparation the company’s statutory Financial Statements and other reports might be required according to local laws on behalf of the Board of Directors
- Interface with external professional advisors as required (e.g. auditors, tax advisors, lawyers etc.).
- Coordinate and oversee the recharges of cross - boarder activities in cooperation with People & Culture
- Drafting and negotiating of minor purchasing contracts with local vendors (e.g. office rental contract, HSE services, utilities etc.), with support from external
- Support the country manager and the Division Europe Finance Controlling Director on all finance matters, specifically this will include regular updates for financial forecasts and annual budget process.
- Debtors reporting and aged debt profiling each month; oversee the dunning process and chase the overdue amounts
- Provide guidance and support to the operations staff relevant to the finance accounting processes and procedures.

YOUR PROFILE
- The job position requires a qualified accountant with at least three years of practice in an international firm of chartered accountants or auditors dealing with foreign companies or five years experience of accounting in an international company located in Portugal
- Experience of financial control of multi-million Euro projects is essential, as is a working knowledge of the construction industry and accounting for WIP on long projects
- Excellent academic ability as well as strong interpersonal and intercultural skills
- Ability to operate, influence and counsel at the most senior level within your function and to business clients.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills; being highly motivated and
- Used to work independently within a matrix based organisation - direction will come from both the local managers and the finance and accounting departments in Germany
- Service oriented, flexible personality
- Excellent knowledge of both Portuguese and IFRS accounting standards
- Good understanding and knowledge of the Portuguiese Tax requirements (e.g. VAT, CIT etc.)
- Good working knowledge of SAP
