**Responsibilities**:
Legal Advisory:
- Provide expert legal advice and guidance on all matters related to real estate transactions, contracts, leases, and agreements in accordance with Portuguese law.
- Conduct thorough legal research, analyze complex legal issues, and deliver practical and effective solutions to support business objectives.
Contract Negotiation and Drafting:
- Review, draft, and negotiate a wide range of real estate contracts, including purchase agreements, lease agreements, joint venture agreements, and construction contracts.
- Ensure contracts are accurately drafted, compliant with relevant laws and regulations, and protect the company's interests.
Due Diligence and Title Examination:
- Conduct comprehensive due diligence on real estate properties, including title searches, zoning compliance, and environmental assessments.
- Identify potential legal risks, resolve issues, and provide recommendations to mitigate risks associated with real estate transactions.
Regulatory Compliance:
- Stay updated on changes in Portuguese real estate laws, regulations, and industry practices.
- Advise internal stakeholders on compliance requirements and develop strategies to ensure adherence to legal and regulatory obligations.
Dispute Resolution:
- Handle and manage real estate disputes, including negotiations, mediation, and, when necessary, represent the company in litigation proceedings.
- Collaborate with external legal counsel to strategize and achieve favorable outcomes in legal disputes.
AI-Driven mindset:
- Demonstrate a willingness to leverage AI tools and adopt an AI-driven mindset to enhance efficiency and decision-making.
**Qualifications and Requirements**:
- Willingness to work with AI tools and possess an AI-driven mindset to leverage technology for improved legal processes and outcomes.
- Member of the Portuguese Bar Association
- Minimum 8 years of experience as a real estate lawyer, preferably in the luxury real estate sector or reputable law firms.
- Strong expertise in contract negotiation, due diligence, and legal risk assessment.
- Fluency in both Portuguese and English languages, both written and spoken.
