**Finance Assistant**:

We are looking for - Finance Assistant

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Finance Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing financial and administrative support to our accounting and finance staff for the 4 companies of Pestana Hotel Group in USA (2 hotels in NYC, 1 in Miami and 1 Shared ServicesCompany).

**Responsibilities**:

- Classify and ensure the accuracy and completeness of invoices in a timely manner;
- Ensure that all invoices for purchased services and products are posted in the correct month;
- Work closely with vendors/suppliers and internal departments to resolve payment issues (along with the Treasury department in Lisbon, Portugal) or missing invoices (along with the Accounts Payable department in Lisbon, Portugal);
- Reconcile and/or analyze vendor balances;
- Provide all the necessary information to the Accounts Payable department to create new suppliers’master data and update data from current ones;
- Review Accounts Payables’ ageing and ensure all vendors are paid on time;
- Place purchase orders as requested by all the Operations Departments of all hotel units;
- Obtain quotes for new purchases;
- Analyze purchasing documents on a monthly basis;
- Post petty cash expenses

**Requirements**:

- Job based in Alcântara, Lisboa (Pestana Shared Services);
- Experience in accounting or finance (mandatory);
- Proficiency in English (mandatory);
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel tools (mandatory);
- Prior experience with SAP (preferencial);
- Good understanding of basic accounting principles;
- Strong organization skills;
- Self-motivated and detail oriented;
- Ability to work in a multifunctional space;
- Availability to travel to U.S.A;
- Availability to work in U.S.A time (not mandatory);
- Spanish speaking is a plus.
