**Descripción del puesto**
The role’s primarily responsibility is to deliver budget, quality and timely executed utility-scale solar PV projects in Portugal while ensuring the highest standards of HSE are met.
- During pre-construction stage, the Project Manager shall coordinate with the rest of TERIb´s EPC Team in:
- The preparation and coordination of RFPs for EPC/BOS contractors selection, main equipment and external services (such as Owner´s Engineer and consultants, etc.)
- Negotiating all aspects of the EPC contract;
- Leading the evaluation and analysis of construction and operational capacities of potential construction partners;
- Optimization of construction schedules in cooperation with construction partners, identifying areas of concern at early stage and elaborating risk mitigation strategies;
- Coordinating the elaboration and implementation of project management engineering, HSE, QA/QC and commissioning processes and standards.
- During execution stage:
- Acting as TERIb´s Representative and main point of contact under the EPC contract and the Owner´s engineer agreement;
- Accountable for on time delivery of TERIb projects in accordance with TERIb quality standards, good industry standards and the applicable HSE, permitting, consents and environmental requirements;
- Ensuring proper coordination with other TERIb’s EPC Team members (Engineering, QA/QC, Contract Management, Permitting, Construction, Procurement, Document Controller, HSE, etc.), other TERIB´s functions (legal, finance, project development) and other third-parties (Owner´s Engineer, local authorities, main suppliers, subcontractors, etc.)
- Coordinating and reviewing the draft monthly progress report provided by the EP contractor, the critical path and any potential recovery plan that may be proposed in coordination with TERIb’s project execution team;
- Leading and coordinating daily and weekly coordination meetings with the EPC contractor and other project stakeholders as required (i.e. Regulatory bodies, competent authorities, etc.);
- Leading the contract management (EPC contract, main equipment supply agreements, engineering services agreement, etc.) in coordination with the Contract Manager;
- Cost controlling, cash flow update and forecasting;
- Collecting and register lessons learned from previous projects and share knowledge across the organization
**Contexto y medio ambiente**
- Total Energies Renewables Ibérica_ develops, builds and operates solar projects in Iberia region, either with full ownership or with partners in JVs. At the moment, TERIB is ready to kick off the execution of three solar PV projects in Portugal (4.5, 10 and 12 MWp).
This position shall involve coordination with other TERIb central functions such as engineering, procurement, legal, finance, business development, etc.
This is a role requiring PV industry background, strong project management skills, excellent judgment to support challenging situations, sound commercial acumen and contractor/vendor management skills.
The Project Manager shall lead the interface with the EPC contractor appointed for the execution of our three first solar PV projects in Portugal as well as other project stakeholders (local authorities, suppliers, etc.). The Project Manager shall supervise and coordinate the work of the EPC contractor and the Owner's Engineer with the support of other TotalEnergies Renewables Ibérica (TERIb) in order for the projects to be build according to the contractual schedule, the approved budget and TERIb's HSE and QA standards.
This position is based in TERIb Lisbon office, regular presence on the project sites (1-2 days/week) once construction starts is required.
- Master Degree (_Mestrado)_ in Engineering;
- + five (5) ears of specific experience within the solar PV industry working for an EPC Contractor, BOS Contractor or well-known IPP/Project Developer;
- Specific experience acting as Project Manager of utility-scale solar plants in at least two projects > 5MW;
- Previous experience with HV interconnection infrastructures is desirable but not a must;
- Specific experience within the Portuguese solar PV industry working in engineering and/or construction activities during project execution stage;
- Good knowledge on latest solar PV main equipment technology developments (modules, inverters, trackers, etc.);
- Process driven individual with strong project management, communication, reporting and organizational skills;
- Fluent in Portuguese and English; Spanish knowledge is a plus;
- Highly self-motivated : Strong initiative and creative thinking;
- Autonomy and Team management : Ability to work individually and as a team;
- Willingness to travel regularly within the assigned country/region as required
