**Function Overview**:
Planet’s Product & Technology team have a world class vision for pushing product innovation which helps reinforce Planet’s position as a revenue generating payments partner across the Retail, Hospitality, Food & Beverage and Parking verticals.

Planet operates a unique single payments platform that includes acquiring, processing, digital wallets, VAT refund and currency conversion services to deliver a better customer experience. Our Product & Tech team comprise of over 750 employees globally who all help drive the single platform vision, a key differentiator to other payment platforms in the market and deliver technical excellence both internally & externally for our customers.

**Role Overview**
The QA Manager:

- Reports to the VP Software Engineering (Terminal / App) responsible for the terminal software delivery team(s) and will be responsible for line management of internal and external QA testers
- Participates in company goal and performance appraisal procedures and help set learning and development targets for their team members.
- Leads the creation of quality assurance measures across the terminal development team and is tasked with developing and enhancing both manual and automated test frameworks.
- Coordinates with other delivery teams to ensure a necessary standard of quality software release, this will involve oversight of team testing; manual, automation, regression as well as end-to-end system sign-off where applicable.
- Ensures that validated deliverables always meet functional, design specifications and requirements of the software/products
- Regularly executes software/product tests and records the results during release cycles. He also reviews functional and design specifications in order to ensure that there is a full understanding of individual deliverables
- Further develops documentation and maintains functional test cases as well as all other test assets, for example, data validation scripts and test data
- Also has analytical responsibilities where he conducts regular analysis of software/product requirements and produces test estimations.
- Works collaboratively with software/product developers in driving issue resolution.
- Works with software/product development teams in ensuring that high quality and timely releases of software/products into market are realized.
- Maintains knowledge of the industry best practices, introducing the most suitable practices to the business.
- Builds/maintains/enhances terminal test automation environment

**What you will do**:

- Contribute to Technical Governance and represent testing, automation & Quality standards. Responsibility for the test environment.
- Maintain necessary quality standards for software delivery team.
- Represent and drive QA enablers on technology roadmap and deliverables
- Maintain and improve test automation coverage for existing and newly developed software systems in line with chosen tools and methodologies.
- Define test plans to ensure timely delivery of projects and features necessary to meet customer requirements and timelines.
- Logical & structured approach to test planning, execution and reporting
- Experience in JIRA or equivalent.
- Experience with Test & Automation tools (Tosca, Jenkins)

**Who you are**:

- A third level degree (or equivalent), preferably in business, IT or finance.
- 5 years of direct QA / software tester exp
