Senior Customs Specialist

Are you an experienced professional with an interest in Logistics or Supply Chain? Then don’t miss the chance to join our Shared Service Center in Porto as a Senior Customs Specialist and be part of a supportive global team.
As a Senior Customs Specialist, you will be part of the Central Customs team and you'll manage monthly import and reporting closures, coordinate problem-solving investigations, and create data-based reports. You'll also support customs topics transfer to Porto Shared Service Center, drive processes harmonization and automation, and participate in worldwide projects.
In your new role, you will:
- **Responsible for **Month-closing activities such as import month closing, reporting month-closing, Intrastat;
- **Coordinate **investigation with a systematic problem-solving methodology and **moderate **discussions with stakeholders;
- **Generate, combine, and analyze **data for established reports and run an inquiry and ad-hoc reports as requested;
- **Active support **in the transference of customs topics to Porto SSC;
- **Drive process harmonization and automation **in collaboration with IFSSC teams and Central Customs teams;
- **Support **on team and corporate projects worldwide.
You have excellent communication skills and a structured and analytical working style. Moreover, you are a team player who can establish sustainable relationships within your team and with others.
You are best equipped for this role if you have:
- A degree in **Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, **or another relevant area;
- Experience in **Logistics, Customs Area, or Global Trade Management **;
- **3 - 5 years **of **experience **in a role that requires an **affinity for data and data quality **;
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, such as Excel and Outlook;
- Advanced knowledge of SAP;
- **Fluency in English **- knowledge of German is an advantage **.**
