**A preventive quality strategy in manufacturing refers to the implementation of systematic and proactive measures to prevent quality issues and defects from occurring in the manufacturing processes. It involves identifying potential problems, and sources of variation early on, implementing measures to address them, and continuously monitoring and improving processes to minimize the likelihood of quality deviations.**

**Job Description**:
As **Quality Methods and Tools Coordinator **you will have an expert role in Quality Methods and Tools, and you will be responsible for the preventive **quality approach in manufacturing**, involving and including:

- ** Integrated Quality Planning**: review the quality standards, specifications and requirements for products and deploy them into the processes; determine critical control points, establish quality control measures, and develop quality assurance plans; coordinate implementation of an Integrated Quality Planning (IQP) strategy in the plants.
- ** Risk Assessment**: identify potential risks and their impact on quality; this implies using the iQ-RM FMEA tool to conduct risk assessments and determine potential failure points in manufacturing process;
- ** Process Control**: establish standard operating procedures, utilize statistical process control techniques, and implement process monitoring systems.
- ** Training and Coaching**: provide training to Bosch employees on quality control methods, process monitoring technics and problem-solving tools, ensuring the necessary skills and knowledge to maintain the appropriate quality standards in manufacturing; coordination and training for FMEA and Control Plan; coordination and coaching for Problem Solving.
- ** Continuous Improvement**: emphasize a culture of continuous improvement for a preventive quality approach and drive the digitization for the quality methods and tools; use data engineering and data mining Technics to map, collect and analyze data, identifying areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurring quality issues; coordinate the approach for Computer-Aided Quality Management (CAQ).

**Qualifications**:

- ** Education**: Completed university studies (Master/Diploma) in engineering or a comparable course of studies
- ** Personality and work style**: Convincing communication skills, team player, high level of self-motivation, able to work under pressure, customer-centric, analytical, structured and results-oriented work style
- ** Experience**: Quality management and methods, and manufacturing
- ** Know-How**: Problem Solving (e.g., 8D) and Technical Risk Analysis (e.g., FMEA), Data Analytics
- ** Languages**: Native Portuguese; business fluent English (written and spoken)
