French (France) Localization Tester

You are a native or perfectly bilingual French speaker passionate about preserving true French culture in video games? We have a job for you

The Localization Tester assures the quality and cultural accuracy of games. The Tester will evaluate and verify the linguistic quality (text and audio) of software and/or video games on current platforms. The Tester will be asked to provide full localization testing for subtitles, localized audio, scripted text, and more. The tester will report in a database any spelling, grammar, syntax or punctuation mistakes, as well as incorrect translations, context issues and incorrect terminology and will be asked to propose corrections and improvements. Our services include; age rating content evaluation, context and content maintenance & accuracy, and cultural or local language evaluation. The Tester will execute these tasks with the help of a test plan and/or checklist and will send a daily report to the Lead Tester.

**Responsibilities**:

- Verify that the games are well-adapted to the target language and culture of France.
- Verify that platform-specific terminology is correctly implemented.
- Review and proofread translated text.
- Occasionally perform small translations.
- Report bugs report in a database.
- Suggest corrections/improvements for the text and audio.
- **Qualifications**:

- Excellent knowledge of French and France.
- Good knowledge in English.
- Degree in translation and/or equivalent experience is an advantage.
- Proficiency in writing and proofreading of texts.
- Accurately and effectively communicate important issues and actively work with colleagues when needed.
- Ability to work independently and diligently.
- Good knowledge of PC hardware/software.
