Job Details

The Analyst will be required to execute the following responsibilities related to cashflow forecasting activities as the main focus of the role, and to provide accounting and reporting support for the R2D team.

Cashflow forecasting activities:

- Play a key role in the weekly cashflow forecast (“CFF”) submission for their reporting unit(s) approx.
- Accurately record and classify the actual cash flows from the previous week reconciling to actual cash balances

Confirming that cash balances in the cashflow forecast reconcile to the group reporting system (Onestream/BFC)
- Collaborate with colleagues in KBS to build the customer collections forecast using various methods and reports
- Update the cashflow forecast for factoring cash flows (e.g. new sales, refunds etc.)
- Work alongside KBS Payments and accounts payable teams to build supplier payments forecast
- Comply with Kantar net working capital rules and review any exceptions approved with senior analyst
- Work with in-market teams to update any payroll, taxes, severance and other lines in the forecast
- Update the relevant intercompany cash flow forecast lines in the forecast
- Provide initial commentary on variances to forecast for review with the senior analysts and management
- Support preparation for and attend review meetings with Regional and Group Treasury teams
- Perform ad-hoc cashflow related analysis and modelling to inform business making decisions

Accounting and reporting responsibilities:
- Perform activities related with period end close process, balance sheet reconciliations, journals and associated underlying schedules.- Support the preparation of period close entries, and general ledger accounts reconciliation and analysis.- Support the preparation and submission of month end close reports and schedules.

General activities
- Maintain knowledge management and documentation to ensure managers and staff always have access to current and compliant documents and guidance
- Support testing of new CFF technology solution and process as required (deployment date to be confirmed)
- Contribute to regular team meetings, 1-1's and performance reviews ensuring that own skills are aligned to team, department and Kantar requirements
- Maintain close relationships with customer/stakeholder groups to ensure responsiveness to their needs and escalation to resolution of internal performance problems
- Work closely with other process teams within the KBS organisation in the provision of support to business colleagues
- Responsible for pro-active and regular communication with other areas of the KBS and the wider organisation
- In the initial month, participate in knowledge transfer phase, virtually work and shadow people to understand local specific processes.
- Responsible for developing and maintaining standard process and operating procedures (standard operating procedures - SOPs) for CFF

Role Requirements
- Relevant degree (accounting, finance, economics or business-related field)
- Work experience in a similar role (Treasury, Financial or Management Accounting or similar)

Special Skills
- Fluent English speaker, accurately able to read and write English and to communicate effectively with senior stakeholders and management
- Familiar with cash management and or treasury processes
- A proven ability to plan and prioritise own workload to meet tight deadlines
- A strong financial modelling, forecasting and analytical skills
- Advanced skills in Excel
- A high standard of accuracy with financial and statistical data
- Good communication/ interpersonal and influencing skills
- A flexible approach and open to change
- Ability to be proactive within a fast-paced dynamic environment
- Willingness to work flexibly across geographic time zones during peak periods such as period end
- Knowledge of key business process technologies, including Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems desirable
