**What you will do**

In this vital role the **Field Medical Excellence, Senior Manager** will be driving initiatives that improve the impact of Field Medical in ELMAC working in closely collaboration with stakeholders across Medical Strategy & Operations, R&D Strategy & Operations, Global Core Capabilities, Knowledge & Learning, Global Commercial Operations, and ELMAC Field Medical Leadership. The position has a future focus with regular horizon scanning for aspects related to external scientific engagement and is accountable for a broad scope of responsibilities, including:

- Driving enhancements of an integrated engagement system, including stakeholder profiling, incorporation of scientific engagement plans, documentation of interactions, evaluation of analytics, and insight generation
- Partnering with Field Medical teams across the Globe, as main point of contact for ELMAC Field Medical Leadership
- Using a future focus to drive evolution of MSL systems, processes, reporting and new technologies
- Working cross-functionally to ensure MSL preparedness and effectiveness in a constantly evolving healthcare ecosystem
- Actively supporting and improving career development of colleagues within Field Medical
- Collaborating with key stakeholders to showcase the impact of Field Medical
- Partnering with Knowledge and Learning to help determine strategy, content, and implementation of training programs to enhance MSL efficiency in the field
- Ensuring compliance with all applicable policies and procedures

**Basic Qualifications**:
Doctorate degree & 2 years of Medical Science Liaison experience

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Pharm. D., Ph.D., M.D. or D.O. (Other Doctoral Degrees considered)
- Seven years of proven experience in Scientific/Medical Affairs at a biotech or pharmaceutical company
- Three or more years focused on clinical practice, clinical research, or medical research. Experience in a medically related field can include post-doctoral training (i.e., residencies and/or fellowships)

**The primary location for this role is Lisbon, Portugal other locations in ELMAC region may be evaluated - pending on tax approval.**
