**Mission Statement**

We are looking for a motivated Accountant to support the Finance team by maintaining the integrity of the financial accounting rules and compliances for our 13 entities.

As the Accountant, you will be integrated in the accounting team where collegiality and teamwork sound obvious to you, which translates into taking initiative to help your colleagues with the daily work.

The accountant must be a self-starter, has a high energy level with a proven ability to meet and exceed the accountabilities listed below:
**Expectations for the role**

Performing Accounting Tasks for a Multinational Company with 13 European Entities including:

- Efficiently process vendor invoices using SAP or Concur systems, including intercompany invoices.
- Proactively monitor vendor aging to prevent overdue balances.
- Execute weekly payment runs for affiliated vendors with precision.
- Process and pay associate expense claims.
- Take charge of managing specific mailboxes on a rotating basis.
- Handle tasks such as electronically filing invoices, addressing supplier queries, and managing the Concur environment.
- Accurately process all bank statements for several EMENA affiliate companies.
- Reconcile accounts related to Accounts Payable, Accruals, Cashbook clearing accounts, and VAT every month.
- Prepare and submit the Belgium VAT return, and strictly adhere to compliance deadlines.
- Manage foreign VAT numbers assigned to Belgium and ensure timely and accurate submissions.
- Follow up on all VAT refunds and ensure payments are executed without delays.
- Assist with monthly closing tasks to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Assist team members during their absence due to leave or vacation.
- Contribute ideas and insights to improve processes, enhance efficiency, and drive operational excellence.

**Must-Have**:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or relevant domain, with 5-7 years of work experience
- Team player who loves personal interactions and gives a clear personal touch to human relations
- Relates to our 4 corporate values: passion, integrity, accountability, and open-mindedness
- Fluency in English (mandatory); French is a plus;
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office and experience with **SAP is mandatory**
