In Power Systems Integration, we are deeply engaged with the market while promoting innovation through collaborations, all with a primary focus on product development. Our core responsibilities include designing the electrical infrastructure for Vestas' renewable power plants, developing the Vestas Power Plant Controller, and creating Electrical Simulation Models for wind turbines and power plant controllers.
Within Power Systems Integration, Electrical Models specializes in crafting Electrical Simulation Models for Vestas' Wind Turbines and Power Plant Controllers. We highly prioritize initiative, leadership, and enthusiasm in our team members.
Responsibilities
1. Ensuring the utmost performance and quality of electrical simulation models for our wind turbines and plant controllers through meticulous development, testing, verification and validation procedures
2. Collaborating with specialists within the team to review and validate engineering designs
3. Working closely with colleagues in Porto and Denmark, as well as receiving input from Vestas' technical sales engineers and Transmission System Operators (TSOs) worldwide, to ensure our electrical simulation models meet global certification standards
4. Engaging in engineering activities to optimize the development and validation processes of electrical simulation models
Qualifications
1. A BSc or MSc degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems Engineering, or a related field
2. Proficiency in Power Systems steady-state analysis, including load flow and short-circuit analysis, as well as time domain and frequency domain modelling, and stability/transient analysis
3. Fundamental software and programming skills, including familiarity with languages such as C, C++, Python, and experience with version control systems like Git
4. Familiarity with at least one power systems simulation tool, such as Simulink, PSS/E, DigSilent PowerFactory, or PSCAD
5. Capability to devise straightforward solutions for intricate problems based on experience
6. Exhibit good communication skills and adept stakeholder management capabilities
7. Capability to attain goals individually and in partnership with colleagues
8. Stand out as a relationship builder, capable of developing and maintaining bonds within a multicultural landscape
9. Perform well when collaborating with others and easily adjust to various cultural contexts
10. Approach work with a process-oriented mindset and maintain a structured approach
11. Provide innovative guidance to their peers and surroundings
12. Possess advanced English language proficiency
