As a Tech Manager/Lead AI Engineer, you will join our newly launched Roland Berger AI Lab, where we design innovative and scalable GenAI solutions to create tangible impact for our clients and ourselves. Our mission is to rapidly and securely scale our expertise across clients and within RB.

Join us in a dynamic role where you will drive the development of (Gen)AI applications for both internal and client-facing projects, establishing yourself as a thought leader in the field. You will lead client strategies and transformation initiatives, creating impactful proof of concepts (PoCs) that showcase the power of (Gen)AI.

As a key representative of Roland Berger, you will engage in partnership discussions and oversee joint initiatives, staying informed on the latest (Gen)AI developments to identify trends and their implications for our clients. Your effective communication skills will bridge the gap between developers and C-suite executives, providing strategic direction in (Gen)AI technologies while managing complex AI initiatives.

You will write and maintain high-quality code, develop infrastructure for deploying AI models on platforms like Azure, AWS, or GCP, and mentor junior team members in best practices. Collaborating with business units, you will drive the adoption of data science and AI, delivering measurable impact.

Qualifications

- University degree (Master's or PhD) with excellent academic achievements in a quantitative or technical field
- 5+ years of experience in data science and (Gen)AI solutions
- Full-stack expertise in data science, data engineering, and AI product development
- Ability to lead and mentor teams with strong project management skills
- Proficiency in agile frameworks like Scrum and Kanban, with experience in tools like JIRA
- Deep understanding of MLOps/LLMOps best practices and experience with tools like MLflow
- Project experience with generative AI models and frameworks
- Proficiency in handling large-scale data in cloud environments
- Exceptional communication skills for engaging technical and non-technical audiences
- Excellent communication skills in English
