About the job The Data Engineer (ML/AI) will design and develop scalable data pipelines, support ML/AI initiatives, and ensure data quality and performance in telecom environments. Our ideal candidate has strong Python experience, familiarity with big data technologies, and enjoys building production-ready ML/AI solutions. We will rely on you to - Design and implement scalable data pipelines for large volumes of telecom data; - Develop and optimise ETL processes for efficient data integration; - Collaborate with data scientists to deploy ML models in production; - Create and maintain data warehouses and data lakes; - Implement data quality checks and monitoring; - Develop APIs and services to expose data and ML/AI capabilities; - Optimise data storage and retrieval for performance; - Evaluate and implement new data technologies and tools; - Contribute to best practices in data engineering and ML/AI; - Provide technical guidance to junior team members. What we're looking for - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science or similar; - 3+ years of experience in data engineering with ML/AI focus; - Strong programming skills in Python, Java, or Scala; - Experience with big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark, Hive); - Proficiency in SQL and NoSQL databases; - Knowledge of ML/AI algorithms; - Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and data services; - Experience with data visualisation tools; - Relevant certifications in data engineering or cloud platforms are a plus.
