JOB PURPOSE

We are looking for a Quality Assurance (QA) engineer to develop and execute exploratory and automated tests to ensure product quality. In this role, the successful candidate will require excellent communication skills. They will need to demonstrate evidence of problem-solving and working well under pressure while being able to manage several daily tasks. The ideal candidate will bring an enthusiastic approach, with an ability to estimate and manage their own tasks as the system is built. LOCATION: PORTUGAL

JOB TYPE: Full-Time Freelancer

WORKING HOURS: 9:00 to 18:00

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Review requirements with developers before beginning testing to ensure that they are clear and complete
- Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases
- Develop and maintain test libraries used to control automated unit and regression test suites.
- Perform manual tests on software applications to identify bugs or errors
- Document bug reports with detailed descriptions of the problem and proposed solutions
- Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved
- Working with development teams to identify potential problems before they occur
- Participate in meetings with team members to discuss current projects or topics such as new features, security issues, or bugs that have been identified during testing.

SKILLS

- Excellent spoken and written English
- +1 year of experience in quality assurance
- Sharp attention to detail
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Great team player with the ability to work with autonomy
- Good communication and teamwork skills to interact with project team members as well as work closely with the dev team

Preferred Skills:

- Experience of working with remote teams
- An interest in sports and major events
- ISTQB Certification
