Senior Data Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join our Inetum Team and be part of a work culture focused on innovation

Location: Lisbon or Porto

Main Tasks:

- Explore, clean, and analyze large and complex datasets to support business objectives.
- Design and implement scalable data processing pipelines capable of handling large data volumes efficiently and reliably.
- Optimize and fine-tune existing data pipelines for performance and stability.
- Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to identify use cases, formulate hypotheses, and design data-driven solutions.
- Participate in project code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Automate the end-to-end release of artifacts across multiple environments.
- Perform daily ETL job monitoring and take corrective actions in coordination with production and functional support teams.
- Contribute to maintaining the integrity and scalability of the data infrastructure, defining priorities, tracking progress, and ensuring issue resolution.

Profile:

- Senior professional with solid experience as a Data Engineer.
- Expertise in SQL and ETL processes, with proven ability to design and optimize complex data workflows.
- Proficient in Python and experienced with data-oriented programming.
- Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle and best practices in CI/CD automation.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical thinking, capable of deriving actionable insights from data.
- Strong communication skills – able to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Proven ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
- Fluency in English (minimum B2 level) is mandatory.
