About the Role
We're expanding our Technology Services Team capacity to support our customers.
This role involves managing application and system architectures, optimizing environments, troubleshooting incidents, and driving a strong SRE culture focused on resilience, ownership, and continuous improvement. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to support, optimize, and secure large-scale systems and applications.
Responsibilities
- Ensure reliability, availability, and performance of multi-tier platforms across Web Tier and App Tier environments (IIS, Tomcat, Apache, etc.);
- Install, configure, and maintain application components and support application deployments in production and staging environments;
- Troubleshoot complex system, application, and architectural issues, performing root-cause analysis and driving blameless postmortems;
- Work with SQL databases to extract and analyse data, supporting performance and operational insights;
- Support and optimize systems within the Hadoop ecosystem, ensuring stable and reliable big-data operations;
- Implement and maintain security best practices across application and system layers;
- Collaborate with engineering teams to introduce SRE practices, automate processes, and improve operational resilience.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of system architectures (multi-tier architecture, SOA, messaging, transactions, DB replication);
- Experience installing and configuring Web Tier and App Tier components such as IIS, Tomcat, Apache, or similar;
- Solid understanding of SQL and experience extracting information from relational databases;
- Knowledge of the Hadoop ecosystem and related big-data components;
- Strong focus on system and application security, performance optimization, and hardening;
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and ability to lead postmortem analysis with a blameless culture;
- Understanding of key SRE principles such as ownership, reliability engineering, and continuous improvement mindset;
- Good command of the English language (spoken and written).
